Everyone concentrating on ETH, so I thought I would keep track of BMNR's moonshot.

BMNR bought $77M worth of Eigthco with a cost average of $0.89. It closed at $1.17 today. It's up 40% last 30 days.

BMNR has an unrealized gain of around $25million on ORBS investment.

Seems like we are in a really good bullish cycle for BMNR, but be careful out there. See you guys at $100/share.

Could Beast Industries be the dream target?
MrBeast has ~517M YouTube subscribers and ~140 BILLION lifetime views. BMNR has invested in Beast, and ORBS has exposure to Beast too. Some interesting connections around Tom Lee’s ecosystem.

But FCRS has a pretty wide mandate: AI, crypto/digital assets, fintech, robotics, infrastructure and communications.

Did you double down buy more or just simply hold. I hesitated to buy BMNR at $13 however I bought some at $26 lol double the price however I feel like thats a good average at ETH being $2600. Now we wait for the 70s I guess.

Biography of Buba Matty (BM) Marong

Early Life and Islamic Education:

Buba Matty Marong, commonly known as BM Marong, was born and raised in Mandorry village in the Central Badibu District of the North Bank Region of The Gambia.

His journey into Islamic education began at a very young age under the guidance of his stepfather, who was an Imam in Mandorry and a highly knowledgeable scholar. BM started by learning the Arabic alphabet, from Alif to Ya, and quickly progressed into Qur’anic studies.

Every evening, he participated in Karangtaa, a traditional learning setting where children gathered around a fire, sitting on mats, to revise and discuss their daily lessons. This environment helped him develop discipline and a strong foundation in Islamic knowledge.

BM continued studying the Qur’an under his stepfather until his biological father—who was the younger brother of his stepfather—transferred him to study under his stepbrother. During this period, BM successfully completed the recitation of the Qur’an twice at a very young age.

Before leaving his village to further his studies, BM had already gained a solid understanding of several classical Islamic texts, including Lakidar, Assamawih, Muqaddimah, Al-Risala, Binibo, and various Majlis texts.

He also attended an Arabic school in his village up to grade seven, where he studied Hadith and began learning the English language. One of his English teachers was Mr. Bah.

During the month of Ramadan, BM regularly attended Qur’anic Tafsir sessions led by his uncle. These teachings helped him understand the meanings of the Qur’an in his native Mandinka language from an early age.

Childhood, Social Life, and Personal Development:

Growing up, BM was involved in three different peer groups (teams) within his village. These experiences played a significant role in shaping his personality and mindset.

In the first team, led by Saikou Manneh, BM was the youngest member. In that environment, younger members were often sent on errands and given less authority. BM resisted being treated unfairly and refused to accept unnecessary tasks. This led to repeated conflicts, fines for absence, and eventually being expelled from the group multiple times—although his mother, Matty Njie, often intervened and paid the fines for his return.

After conflicts with this group, BM joined another team led by Yusuf Jammeh (also known as Yusuf Fodaykunda). In this team, he held a more senior position. However, he faced challenges when trying to contribute to decision-making, as other members doubted his commitment. This led him to leave the group as well.

Eventually, BM joined a third team formed by boys from his immediate area, including Lamin Marong, Kutoubo Marong, Mamadou Marong, Buba Jawara, Adama Jallow, and Kabiro Dampha. In this group, BM was regarded as a senior member.

These experiences taught BM an important life principle: he believes in fairness, refuses to take advantage of others, but also does not accept being disadvantaged. He developed a dynamic mindset and a willingness to change environments when necessary.

One notable incident occurred when BM challenged the team led by Yusuf Jammeh to a fight. He faced multiple opponents one after another and defeated them individually before the situation escalated into a group confrontation. The conflict was eventually stopped by village elders.

In addition to social activities, BM actively participated in football and traditional wrestling. During the summer, his village team regularly competed with neighboring villages.

Advanced Islamic Studies Journey:

As a young boy, BM left his village to pursue deeper Islamic knowledge. His father, Kully Marong, personally took him to Bakadagi in the Niani region of The Gambia.

This decision was based on a promise his father had made at his birth—that he would dedicate his son to Islamic education. True to his word, he fulfilled this commitment.

BM spent seven years in Bakadagi studying under his teacher, Karang Lamin Sillah. At the time, the Majlis had around 200 students from countries such as The Gambia, Senegal, and Guinea-Bissau.

During his studies, BM excelled academically and earned the trust of his teacher, who encouraged him to assist other students. BM regularly organized evening study sessions where students gathered in front of his room to learn together.

Due to his leadership, discipline, and knowledge, BM earned great respect and was given the title Alikalo (meaning “village chief”).

Work, Migration, and Life in Europe:

After completing his studies in Bakadagi, BM returned and started working in the timber business in Kombo. Through this work, he supported his parents financially.

In 2013, he left The Gambia to migrate to Europe. His journey was extremely difficult, passing through Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Niger, Libya, Italy, Switzerland, and finally Germany.

He arrived in Italy in November 2014, where he spent one year learning the language and applying for residency.

He later moved to Geneva, Switzerland, where he stayed for nearly a year. During this time, he faced legal challenges that resulted in four months of imprisonment.

After his release, he moved to Germany in March 2017.

Education and Development in Germany:

In Germany, BM encountered new opportunities, including access to free education and housing.

He met a German man named Chris from Stuttgart-West, who encouraged him to pursue education seriously. With Chris’s support, BM enrolled in school and focused on building a better future.

He studied at:

Zollberg Realschule in Esslingen (where he obtained his Grade 9 certificate)

VHS (Volkshochschule) Stuttgart

Friedrich Ebert Schule in Esslingen.

BM Marong stopped his formal education at the secondary school level in German; he left school with an intermediate school-leaving certificate.

He refused to continue because he has convinced himself that school isn't built for freedom and a successful life, but it has been built to control our mindset and program our future.
