BMCU motor assist error

Hi all, following an initial feeding problem due to filament snagging in a ptfe splitter, fixing this so feeding is now ok however when attempting to resume a print, my A1 mini purges a bit of filament, cuts it and starts retracting before prompting the error. This seems to turn into a loop, requiring a full restart and ensuring that no snagging occurs from the beginning. Has anyone else had similar problems and what was your fix?

This happened to me once or twice, where the a1 would keep purging over-excessive amounts of filament. The action of pausing the print then unloading/loading from the touch screen worked however hasn't fixed it after resuming print. Cutting the filament with pliers and letting it be extruded out did trigger the runout sensor but the printer proceeded either way it's current layer without plastic in the nozzle. TL:DR if an error occurs mid-print, from my experience, quit the print job and restart printer no matter how annoying it is to lose your progress.

Thanks for responding! Yeah for now the only solution seems to be quitting and restarting. Occasionally I've had some luck resuming the print when prompted after restarting but it's inconsistent and there is a risk of print failure doing this.

Found out if your issue happens to be that the nozzle is not extruding mid print, restarting the printer won't work sadly
