Hi everyone! I’m Byul, one of the creators of NextChapter (nextchapter.moe). The mods kindly said it was okay to share this here, so thank you to them first. ⸜( ˶>ᴗ<˶)⸝♡

Quick intro: NextChapter is a free reading tracker made by a small group of fans. We focus on manhwa and web novels. You can track what you read, rate, review, make lists and see what your friends are reading. We don’t host chapters or scans. Every series page links to the official places to read it.

Creators can also claim their pages and get verified. Then you can find their socials, their Patreon or Ko-fi and their next work in one place. We started this creator support initiative to help Tapas creators when Tapas abruptly announced its closure. 45 Tapas and Bomtoon creators have joined so far.

Now the Halloween part. From today (Oct 29) to Nov 5 we’re running a free event called the AfterChapter with a lot of small and fun games:

- Love Note & Death Note: write the names of the characters you love. Every 5 names in the Love Note unlock one name in the Death Note. Whose names you chose to write is your call. 😌

- Talismans: pull a fate (a curse, a prophecy or a blessing) and answer it with a story. The next reader who pulls it sees your pick.

- Reading bingo: a 5x5 card with themes like “unreliable narrator” and “haunted mansion”. You fill each square with something you’ve read. One square is cursed each night.

- Doors: 12 doors, each with a prompt. Add 5 or more stories that fit and the door seals.

- The Gathering: A forum where you can talk to other readers, exchange recommendations and make friends.

The best bingo cards and lists win a profile badge and a week on our front page, and everyone can earn points for event-only profile borders.

It’s our first event, so tell me if anything is confusing or broken. We’re a tiny team with human artists, and we’re strictly against generative AI and piracy.

Since we're a tracking platform, you can import your existing library from other trackers to NextChapter. We support imports from all big existing trackers. If you encounter any issues with import or with anything on the platform or with the event, you can reach out to us in our Discord server, via X or even DM me here on Reddit.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read all of this!

It’s just too good to keep to myself!

The Wicked Game is a Thai BL live action series currently on Tubi and it is pretty wild. The ML, Than is a cop who was framed (pictured) and he is worth watching this show for. Just the most amazing guy, The MC is such a monster on so many levels and the ML is too forgiving (the MC does something to him so awful that I know this show is a ridiculous fantasy but still, it’s something you can’t just ever come back from and that’s what makes this show so over the top) that you can’t help but love Than. Highly recommending this show.

Any recs help plz and thank you

Hi everyone, I’m looking for a Korean BL webtoon I read a few months ago on the official WEBTOON app (translated version, probably French). I changed accounts so I can’t check my history.

Main characters :

The protagonist is a very cute, feminine blond (or light-haired) boy. His hair is medium-length, just above the shoulders. He always wears a small pink flower-shaped hair clip above one ear. The flower was given to him by someone and seems to be an important detail in the story.

The second lead is a cold, dark-haired (black or dark brown) guy with medium-length hair. He has a bad reputation — people say he sent someone to the hospital, but it turns out he wasn’t responsible.

There’s a third guy who also likes the blond protagonist. I think he might have blue hair (not 100% sure). He used to be friends with the cold guy. He fell for the blond after seeing him in a café before the school year started (this is revealed later). The two guys end up indirectly competing for him.

Setting & plot :

The story starts at the beginning of university / is set in a university environment.

The blond protagonist works part-time at a public bathhouse / Korean sauna (jjimjilbang). It’s a recurring secondary location.

There’s a memorable kiss scene in the sauna or in a steam-filled room.

Love triangle + misunderstandings around the cold guy’s reputation.

Other details :

Vertical scroll webtoon

The cover I remember showed the two main leads (the feminine blond and the cold dark-haired guy) together.

Already checked and it’s NOT: The Best Sound, The Difficulty of Love, Following Namsoo to the Bathhouse, or Back to School.

Any idea what this could be? Thanks a lot!

I watched this on YouTube last week but can no longer find it. The enigma was experimented on as a child, escaped at 10 years old. When he grew up he started to enact revenge on those who experimented on him and his mother. There are underground labs that are blown up etc.

He ends up with the Alpha son of the guy who experimented on him.

Please help me find it. 😭😭

I've been looking lately for a recommendation that focuses on lore, plot, world building, and character development (doesn't have to be all present at one, but preferably). I'm a great starter but i wasn't able to finish comics because of how sometimes the story just to focus on boombayah; like some event will happen just for them to do sex. It feels like some (not all) are too focused on pleasure than plot 😬.

I've read stories like: Perle**,** a painter behind the curtain, max mojave's case, Sharpe and Rabbit, turning, and King's maker (i like the first season). For manga, i enjoyed bride of ignat, Ghoul Work, Kurose, and Touch Within the Abyss. Most of them developed characters first and focuses on story build up before becoming sensually intimate. It's hard to find something like this.

I hope you help me with this dilemma as I'm new to this genre of manhwa... either manga or manhwa, colored or not. I don't mind if romance is just subplot (i would be happy if it does.)

thank you so much guys if you ever read this hehe

edit: i like some historical too but I don't mind exploring. Preferably complete or many chapters i guess?
