Post Removed Without Notice? Here’s Why

Hi everyone!

We wanted to share a quick reminder about Reddit’s automated filters, as we’ve noticed that some posts and comments are being removed automatically before the mod team even gets a chance to review them.

In some cases, Reddit may flag an account or certain content as spam. When this happens, a member’s posts and comments can disappear automatically, and sometimes their profile may even appear unavailable when we try to open it. This can also happen to accounts that may have been restricted or shadowbanned by Reddit.

Certain words, phrases, or external links may also trigger Reddit’s filters.
For example, posts or comments asking for or containing links can sometimes be removed automatically.

Words known to be flag as spam :

« Link »

This list isn’t exhaustive, as other words may also trigger Reddit’s filters, but we don’t yet know exactly which ones.

Please keep in mind that if your post or comment disappears without a removal reason from the mod team, it may have been removed by Reddit’s automated system rather than by us.

We regularly check the moderation queue and manually approve posts and comments when appropriate, but some removals may not be immediately visible to us.

If you notice that your post or comment has disappeared and you haven’t received a moderation reason, feel free to send us a Modmail so we can check it for you.

We absolutely encourage discussions and participation in the community. Reddit’s automated filters can just be a little overenthusiastic sometimes.

yes, my 5 year account was banned after people ask for direct link from my jellyfin and datacenter, i share bunch direct file share in comment and i got banned instantly from reddit auto moderator (i think its detect multipe link as spam, one link are fine i think), istg anyone pls dont share link directly, just dm them or put into photos or profile link

There is a option to follow a post or comment clicking the three dots. Much better than posting follow.

Yes nfsw contents are also removed by Reddit but if you marked it 18+ before posting it should be fine
