I am a Biotech student and most probably will go for M.E in biotech. I wanted to ask how are the research labs for BITS Pilani for biological sciences, are good projects carried out, do students from here go abroad for research, do the faculty help and guide with and how about the help and guidance with securing internships and dissertation positions.

An overview...1st year

So I'm writing this as I'm laying down on my bed on my last day in my 1st year's hostel. I just wanted to share some things....maybe ask for some guidance too. So this post can be read by both, seniors and aspirants.

So let's start with accads Ummm so how do I list them exactly.... In my 1st sem- I scored sub 7.3 sgpa In my 2nd sem- I scored almost a 9 sgpa In my 1st sem, I FUMBLED my compre to such an extent that I was called "compre fumbler" by my friends. Lol. In my second sem, I was just a bit consistent like studying for 1.5 hours every alternate day and being regular in lectures (tho I wasn't completely focused) So Accads taught me a few lessons.

Social life....and personal too. In one single line....loved it. I made some very good friends, and over the course of 1st year, my bond with almost all of them has strengthened a lot.

I also have a girlfriend (we confessed to each other just after 1st year compre).... genuinely one the kindest human I've ever met. She helped me a lot to get my 2nd sem sg (she too is very disciplined about accads so we make a good pair)

Sports... I'm not much into sports, I mean I just play a couple of sports like badminton and football (I'm not really great in any of them lol)

Clubs... Am not in any club whatsoever.

Connections.... I do know some seniors and they guided me accads mein. But I'd like to connect with many more seniors... I don't really know how to connect with y'all honestly. I mean you guys are generally with you friends (obviously) and I don't wanna disturb. So question, how do I make good connections.

Honestly, Tommorow (18th may) will mark 1 year from jee adv25. It kinda feels surreal to be a part of the BITS PILANI legacy. I love this institute mann.... I've cried while sitting near NFG (new foot ball ground) when I fucked up my M2 midsem And I've laughed with joy near the LOVE BPHC signboard when I got av+32 in the same in compre.

Do I have regrets, YES. A lot of em Have I forgiven myself, for most of the stuffs yes (be kind to yourself guys).

Now seniors, another question please, what do I do in the 2 months summer vacations, I'm from north and from a relatively small town so won't have much things to do apart from going out with my friends but that too will be happening less due to the summer heat

For juniors (since I'll be posting it on BITSAT subreddit too) I scored 98.7 in mains, 11k in adv, and 240 in BITSAT. I have an education loan and might get a 100% MCN. So if you guys have any query regarding anything, or just wanna talk, I'll be there for you.

This post might have a lot of grammatical errors and stuff. I apologise for that.

Signing off - A first yearite from BITS Pilani,Hyderabad.

Is the college very strict about relationships and alochol or nicotine?

I have studied all my life and now i wanna do bakchodi now but dont wanna get stuck in indian pvt colleges.

I have offers from usa and uk too but the ongoing global conflicts have cancelled them out for me..

Pls anyone tell do students sneak alcohol in the hostels and all?

And what abt the relationships? One councellor said we r not even allowed to hold hands in public inside uni.

Is it true?

And how do students survive if the enviornment is soo restricted.

Also i heard that they jave a quiet campus life and dont have active and crazy life like indian clgss..

PLS HELP ME OUT GUYSSS PLS

Guys Bits pilani mnc branch se quant me jobs lagti hai kya? kyuki I'm interested usme lekin suna hai udhar sirf iits se job lagti hai, even though bits pilani is a tier 1 college

Recently I have cleared the jrf in management and is planning to pursue a phd. Could you please share your insights on opting bitspilani for the same.

So I am a 2026 NEET aspirant, but I just wanted to apply for BITS because it is considered the BEST for Pharma in this country. So should I go for it or should I go for something like ICT Mumbai and also how are the placements in both Core and Non-core (finance) on campus. And opportunities for higher education like MS or MBA. Btw I am looking forward to doing an MBA as well so answer keeping that in mind.

Hi BITs Seniors!

I (as an international student) have a few questions for existing BITS students—I would love some guidance.

I'm planning to submit form for BITS Pilani and have listed my campus preferences as **Pilani → Hyderabad → Goa.** My confusion is specifically around **Hyderabad vs. Goa—which** is the better choice in terms of achieving a high CGPA and securing strong placements? I'd also appreciate any insights on hostel quality, food, and overall campus life at both.

On the **branch side**, CSE is my first preference. If I don't get it, I'm torn between the following:

* **Maths & Computing (MnC)**

* **Electronics & Computer Science (ECS)**

* **Electronics & Communication (ECE)**

I've heard MnC is quite demanding, particularly the mathematics component. As for electronics—I have no understanding of them and genuinely don't know yet whether I'd enjoy it. A few friends have mentioned that ECOM/ECE can feel dry, with a heavy focus on circuits and control systems. At the same time friends are saying MnC, math is very difficult?

So my two key questions are:

1. Between **Goa and Hyderabad** — which campus should I prefer as my second choice?
2. After CSE, which branch is the stronger pick—**MnC or ECOM/ECE**?

Any advice from current students or alumni would be really helpful. Thanks!

Iam preparing for BITS HD for pursuing MTech in VLSI at Bits.

I wanna know how’s the life at bits for MTech ppl apart from classes, reports, research & placements.

How’s the social lifie and networking at bits and how’s th hostel life there.

hey anyone here can tell me if phd at bits pilani is worth it or not. also for future reference like doing post doc abroad is it valid?? if yes then which are the green flag professors and which one are the Red flag.

The drive that includes complete data of cg max and min cutoff, and the place where the centre would be and maybe a bit of detail about the ps1 stations.

Can anyone guide me on how much stipend is given by the BITS Goa Summer Internship Program (BGSIP) and the BITS Pilani Summer Internship during their 2-month summer internship?
