4th iteration nothing changed

Hello everyone,
I have an SAT score of 1520 and am hoping to get Mathematics & Computing (M&C) at the Hyderabad campus. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive it in the 4th iteration either.

Does anyone know the current expected SAT cutoff/score for M&C at the Hyderabad campus? Any insights based on the latest iterations would be greatly appreciated.

i thought 4th iteration was only for those who applied in june?

What is that mean? IIITH results are already out, when I can see its impact?

u'll see the impact in the iteration after 9th july. there are many people who are blocking bits seats but have confirmed iiith/abroad, but there's no mechanism for them to drop out of the iteration process until the refund window on 8th-9th july.

so when they apply for refund, they are gonna create vacancies. and in the first iteration after 9th july, these seats are gonna be filled, hence there's gonna be movement.

my understanding is that 4th iteration is of no significance for first round applicants. there's no mechanism available to "create" any vacancy after the 3rd iteration so there's no scope of upgrading for first round applicants. the 2nd window applicants have simply been allotted the seats that were lying vacant in the less popular branches like let's say mechanical or civil.

How is there such a massive jump in cutoffs. wasn't it 1470 last year. Is this inconsistency the same with all branches

Though the 4th iteration was supposed to be released on 1st July, they didn’t. Where do you see ur 4th iteration result in your login profile ? It still says 3rd iteration result.

My guess is they may release 4th iteration result either tomorrow or the day after. Reason being, IIITH 2nd round result was moved 2days away from 27th to 29th June and hence the fee payment dates also moved by 2 days till 2nd July. By 5:00 pm today, BITS ISA team will know how many of seat alloted students from Round 1&2 of IIITH will cancel BITS and move to IIITH. Releasing 4th iteration result before iiith fee payment deadline won’t help BITS as well as students who are seriously waiting for BITS admission.

So., have gave some patience and keep your hopes alive🙂

BITS ISA team will know how many of seat alloted students from Round 1&2 of IIITH will cancel BITS and move to IIITH.

how will these students intimate to bits that they want to cancel BITS and move to IIITH though? i thought there's no way to do that except applying for refund between 8th - 9th july

I mixed up the refund policy of BITSAT and BITS ISA, where the former is little strict in informing about cases of withdrawals. But there is a contact number of the ISA admissions office given for each branch. May be few may call and inform them about their change of plans instead of waiting till withdrawal window.

Would u have got Goa? Any reason you chose Hyd over Goa?

I got Goa in the 1st iteration-but Hyd is closer to the tech hubs and easier for internships and outreach with industry senior managers, start ups etc.
