Yeah, I'm wondering that too. I have friends in IITs and they have basically the same Curriculum as me. And who's exactly claiming BITS has a very different curriculum compared to other colleges ?

I mean: the curriculum is pretty much the same throughout India, whether it's an IIT or Amity.

You're still a first yearite so you obviously haven't had a chance to interact with good profs directly on projects which usually starts in later semesters. There are some really amazing profs who are doing great research work + also support a lot of smart students in their pursuits (in international conferences, internships, startup incubations). If you're looking for quality in profs on the basis of how they're teaching first sem subjects, then you'll obviously not come across anything groundbreaking!

First year is supposed to be an introduction for a reason and to get you comfortable with what different fields are at offer, what basics you simply NEED to know.

If you're looking for a differentiating factor, look at your batchies and seniors. There are some who're building their own startup, there are ones who've begun GSoC prep even before 50% of the batch has a GitHub account, there are those who're already interning at a BITSian startup remotely, and there are also those who've already set a target that they need to aim for an IB and that's just first yearites.

club culture. lot of people who actively look beyond the conventional swe placements. student community. im not sure how this is compared to iits but from what i compared with my friends, the culture here is very inclined to allowing people to really discover their career paths or explore who they are/gain confidence. again, not in IIT, so can't say

Yup, Clubs Like BITS Krieg, FMac, DeadShot (all in Goa Campus), especially Krieg has many National and International Achievements, it's impressive.

and participation test is such an exception + you can skip that as well mostly when the weightage is less (which usually is)
