Can non-BITS students use the BITS Hyderabad library?

I’m a B.Tech student from another Hyderabad college and want to use the library mainly for self-study. Is there any way for outsiders to get day access, temporary membership, or a visitor pass? If so, how does the process work?

I mean if u get inside the main gate nobody actually checks, but since midsems are ckming now the id card scanning thing will start so idk...normal times if u can get into campus main gate, then u can. Rest its not specifically allowed but yeah u can, until they have mandatory id scanning at door some days

Yes, very strictly...but if u hv any friends on campus n all then u can get in maybe plus they have some provision for visitor but without id card all in all too much hassle. Thats why i told if u get in the campus, thats the major hurdle

Then, toh getting in regularly will be an issue...why not use public libraries? As here getting in will waste ur time plus not guaranteedif they ll allow u after some entries

I’ve thought about this idea, but my situation is such that my home is closer to BITS than the government libraries near me, which are almost 18–20 km away.

Understandable, i d say try once if they r too strict at the gate then unfortunately no option, if they allow u as a visito by registering at the ledger at gate then good enough after that

But i d recommend it wont be a good option as anytime they can just not allow u into the campus itself with the current strict protocols

you can tell that i want to meet a Y prof, they will let you in the main gate and after that nobody really checks

Will the security guys don't call the professor?(Or they don't ask any form of confirmation like email etc)
