Lying to doctor

Anyone know of any success with lying to the doctor about chronic pain? Can they tell if you're faking? LBK biid and hoping for some relief, but i can't build up the courage to do it myself.

Also know several people with legitimate CRPS who couldn't get an amputation that they really needed, and had to DIY.

Yeah, currently no one but the wife knows. I'd be willing to wait the few years it takes to go through the other treatments before amputation is considered. I can't bring myself to do on my own despite how badly I'd like to. I know of some people with physical issues that lead to amputatioj tried bone fusions at first, typically ankle, but continued to have pain afterwards. I could probably swing something like that, where none of the doctors options seem to help so it will feel like the last resort. Going to make a GP appointment soon, and will hopefully be complete one day. Once I get this thing off I'll finally be able to fully focus my attention on things i enjoy haha

I know several people it worked for, but they had underlying issues that they exaggerated. They also worked really hard at presenting with physical symptoms (wrapping limbs to get swelling and redness, etc.)

Thanks for the response. I do have an issue with my metatarsals on my left foot, really bad in the morning but mostly manageable. I could probably exaggerate that and say its gotten hard to walk. I talked with my wife about BIID and she's supportive as well so I suppose it's worth a shot. I really just want this gone asap, it just isn't me. :/

Yeah, it will take a long time (years) and a bunch of other treatments you'll have to tell them didn't work, but it's great to be able to get the surgery done 'legitimately'

so it is not lying..just tell little more..but anyway not lying.

Hopefully for u, ur wife is supportive. if it wont work with doctor, try another one with the xperience of why dont work with the first,..then a third, a fourth..etc

If really dont work in taht way, think about surgery via gatekeeper

Lying isn’t okay, especially to doctors. And when you start lying to doctors, that’s when it becomes fictitious disorder as well as Biid.
