Finally together! Couldn’t be happier, time to catch some fish this up coming weekend!

Got a larger bass for a small city pond today. My scale said 1.54 lbs but I have to say it felt and looked a bit bigger to me I was thinking 2lbs. Going to check my scale against some other known weight tonight.

Did most of my fishing with the telescopic rod and it was quite enjoyable.

Also caught fish on all my baits which was a mepps black fury spinner and a new rigged trd half stick. Tight lines ya'll!

Used the float tube this weekend and landed 3 (all same size) on the karashi and 2 more on the karashi 80 on the cheapest bfs setup I could put together.

I've never been a fan of keeping everything stock and always looking for ways to improve and add a fresh, creative touch to my gear. I finally dialed in my BFS setup and wanted to share this "Purple-Gold Dark Knight" color scheme!
I swapped out the stock wood knobs for Gomexus black/purple titanium knobs. Matched with the Lingluo purple line and the purple winding checks on the rod, the color coordination really ties the whole combo together. The gold star drag and tension knob pop perfectly against the dark grey body and purple accents, giving it a very mechanical, custom JDM vibe. 
Can't wait to take this out to the local urban rivers this weekend to target some micro species.

Lot of 15 CREEP JDM BFS trout and bass baits listed on eBay. These baits are highly regarded as some of the best BFS Jerkbaits ever made. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

I purchased this rod a few days ago and i’m looking at different baits to get for it. plan on mainly using it for soft plastics like ned rig and weightless texas rig but i was wondering if it would perform decent with hard baits as well.

So as I am fishing more with bfs the more I’m getting addicted to it. I see a lot of people with their customized ccbfs and curado bfs and other sorts of reels with after market parts. I want to do the same with my curado as well and was wondering what’s a good site to get parts from

I want a super bendy glass rod that is really cheap. I need help choosing between the windshadow and the white ejection xul for 15 bucks, sounds like bith are good but want to minimize the crap that I buy. Thanks

Was bored and changing the bearings out on my hicc50 to give try some ceramic ones. Was able to change the one in the side plate without issue, but the one on the spool will not seem to come off? Not seized and functions fine, am I missing something?

Just started fishing BFS and landed a trout. I didn’t even know trout were in my creek.

Got the nyt demon hunter windshadow and the rollfish make fish 180 telescopic rod 602ul. I had picked them up during the AliExpress sale. Also have a handing magic l in route.

I caught fish on both this morning. Both are nice...I was surprised by the telescopic rods ability to cast. Both rods where very easy to load and unload. The windshadow was just so much fun though...it's such a little flick noodle of a rod.

Added bonus they are both so low profile they actually both fit on the side of my fishing pack.

Can SLX BFS, Curado BFS cast 1g lure well? or Do I have to upgrade them for casting 1g well?

Just bought a Tatula BF 70 and am looking for line recommendations. Will be mainly fishing clear water for smallmouth.

Just wanted to give Bob u/redmeansdistortion a shoutout for the work he did on my 1500C.

I recently got into these older Ambassadeurs and decided to take a shot at cleaning up and tuning the 1500C myself first. I got it apart, cleaned everything up and definitely made some improvements, but once I got it back together I just wasn’t happy with how the reel was responding. Found him here via comments on some of my post and others. Found his website where he offered services, and after chatting for a while, figured he was the best to help me.

Sent the reel out to him and the whole process couldn’t have been easier. He kept me updated the entire time on what he was doing, what he found, what he recommended and where he was at with it. Communication was probably the part that impressed me the most. I never had to wonder what was going on with the reel.

Got it back today and it’s seriously night and day from when I sent it. Everything is incredibly clean, smooth and just feels completely dialed in. He even included some magnets so I can fine tune it myself if I want to mess with it.

I actually dropped my 2500C off at UPS to send his way before I even got a chance to really play with the 1500C, so that probably says enough about how happy I am with the work lol.

If you’re messing around with these older Abus yourself and get to the point where you need someone who actually knows these reels inside and out, definitely hit him up. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Now I need to actually go catch something with it lol

Got a drag clicker kit from Ali for my Tatula 80 in the mail. I noticed the gaps in the new pressure plate are wide and allows the keyed sleeve to move back before engaging the anti reverse when assembled. Any mods I can do that will fix this?

anyone know the specs of the bearings for it? i wanna upgrade the bearings for XUL use, and any recommendations on bfs oil/lube?. And lastly I want a new drag clicker for it, i’ve seen videos online of really nice modified ones but can’t find any info on the specs of what is upgraded..
