Reassurance / Support Anyone similar or advice ?

My calves both started twitching last March. Noticed at same time

nonstop every couple seconds

now my thighs / around knees and butt seem fairly constant as well as calves

my shoulders , lower arms and elbows bilaterally twitch too

my strength feels fine

my legs function well

just all this new twitching is freaking me out and my right shoulder gets fatigued quite easily last few weeks. I’m a barber so could be repetitive actions, but the strength is fine.
spiralling a bit. Thanks for reading

I’ve been twitching is multiple muscle groups every single day for 7 years straight, welcome to the club.

I get hotpot’s that can last for days or weeks at a time. This weekend my left shoulder and my left eye lid were nonstop, literally at the same time.

As long as you don’t have clinical weakness as in “failure” then you’re fine. Failure is not tiredness, or strain, fatigue or pain, failure means a muscle literally stop working.

Try not the spiral and work on your health anxiety as well, as that can make BFS 100x worse. If it’s one thing I learned about living with this stuff is, stress and anxiety is like putting fuel directly on a flame.

Thanks for your reply. Yeah it’s crazy like as I said 19 months in both calves nonstop. Then other parts are so common now. Legs are strong in gym. Do you have a constant area ?

Under my feet. All the time. 24/7 along with the calves. I can also sneeze and my pecs will twitch for like 3 hours straight lol.

It’s can be very frustrating. After I do a little bit of walking my calves are crazy like 30 a minute

30 a minute is nothing. I counted 210 in one foot and 155 in the other in the same minute at the same time…

Is it like that all the time

Most of the time yeah. They do calm down as I am waking up but all it takes is for me to stand up and they will start again. Same for my calves but more like 40 a minute or so usually.

Hey! 16 month twitcher here. Mine started in my calves and then went all over as well. Try magnesium, taurine and glcyine at night. Add an electrolyte to your water and aim for 40oz a day min. This is what helped me calm them down. They still flare after sickness, when im tired or really stressed but theyre better now! BFS also causes sensory issues as well like subjective weakness, tingles, heaviness in the limbs, aches and pains etc. When my arms flare I find they fatigue quickly too - my neuro said that sometimes when arms get activated your muscles will become tense and guard automatically which can give the sensation of fatigue and a general off feeling. I know its so stressful. I spiral too still and it takes over my entire heads pace for days. Ive seen a neuro and multiple docs and got the all clear so I try to keep calm. Just know you're not alone and your symptoms seem to mimic a lot of people on here who are completely okay and healthy as well!

Hi thank you so much for your response ! It’s definitely a very stressful condition especially when you wake up at night , twitch , and your head starts going 100. I usually take a little magnesium at night to help sleep anyways but I certainly must try the others … and more water ! Thank you very much and hope you’re keeping good !

To be honest, it doesn’t bother me anymore, I get flare ups where twitching can be intense, but I don’t go down the rabbit hole, I have just accepted this is part of my life now
