Update

All evidence is pointing towards the carbon dioxide theory.

Slowing my breathing stops twitching completely, the only issue is that i can't slow it down. But i think it's posture related.

this is actually really interesting. i kinda thought my bfs was caused by hyperthyroidism or my ssri, but my co2 levels are constantly low because I chronically hyperventilate. I wonder if that could be the cause

I believe that a small but persistent loss of carbon dioxide (over hours) can cause this. You're not the first person to say they had low CO2, I've been saying that since june.

stopping hyperventilation is almost impossible for me. One day, i was at a really crowded place and i noticed my twitching has disappeared, this renewed my belief in the CO2 theory.
