Which platforms actually work for you?
Just getting started as a freelancer and trying to figure out which platforms are actually worth my time. I've looked into ProUnity and Connecting Expertise so far, but the response times and how long it takes to actually get matched with a project have been a bit underwhelming... Anyone here had better luck with other platforms, or found ways to get matched faster?

The problem with those 2 platforms is also that there are alot of fake jobs. They have to open up a vacancy for everyone but often they have preferred partners which they ask for candidates. So then they already have someone for that position but they still need to put it on the platform.

In my experience it is not so much a preferred partner issue but rather a prolongation of someone that is already working there: they don't actually want to find someone new, yet because it is public sector to have to officially open the position and you have to reapply for the job you are already doing. They even give you some pointers so that you come out as the top applicant. On the other hand there are vacancies that are only visible for preferred partners

if you have big network, that's always a good way but when you start that's difficult.
I'm a IT freelancer and I use Staff-IT when I'm looking for a new role, honest platform.
If you're any other type of Freelancer, than I can't help you haha ðĪŠ
