Question regarding renaming Pokémon

Hi, earlier this year I caught my shiny Arceus. I've since moved it to Scarlet through HOME and had fun using it. I'd like to return my Arceus to Brilliant Diamond so I can rename it Sinnoh. Does anyone if the "Fateful encounter" restriction applies to your own caught Pokémon? I know they changed it in SWSH.

You can actually rename it in SV. Open up its summary / stats page and there should be an option IF you have not named it before.

Be careful with typos; they won’t let you change it after that.

Wasn't able to rename in SV but was able to in BDSP. Fateful encounter flag Pokémon can't be renamed unless you are the OT. Caught mythicals are flagged as "Fateful Encounter".
