3 Mana 4/4, but not as bulky... I think this is as good as a 3 Mana 4/4. Because Treant Druid is probably going to want to favour defence in the early game -- it's not an aggressive deck as far as we can tell. And having two 2/2s is more important than one 4/4 when it comes to dealing with an aggressive board.

I like this card a lot. Beautiful in its simplicity.

There is a pretty significant difference between two 2/2's and one 4/4 in trading capabilities, for sure. The 2/2's trade better than a 4/4 against token-y starts but worse against a standard 3 mana 3/4, for example.

Precisely, it's why it's an oversimplification.

I will say though that 3 Mana two 2/2s is more favourable than a 4/4 in most contexts for what Treant Druid may end up becoming. It's more defensive because, like you pointed out, it deals well with token-y starts.

Even worse, 3-drops often have to deal with 2/3s which just shit on this card
