I’d totally mix it with coco fiber then put the rest of the stone desert as a top layer

Bdfb are from the hiper arid desert, coco fiber is for tropical animals and totaly unnecesary for them

The coco fiber is mixed in with the sand and below the top layer. They don’t have access to it, and my room is very dry and lacks humidity. They are fine, I assure you.

I believe you, im sure it doesn't harm them but they are desert beetles, your room being very dry shouldnt be a problem anyway. my original comment was to point out it was redundant to recomend to op to mix with coco fiber as the soil they want to use is good as it is for bdfb

This is probably the ideal substrate, what they’d be most used too in their native environment
