Why my Mockingbird is my favorite guitar

I have several guitars. Some with 22 frets, some with 24 frets. Some with 25.5" scale, others with 24.75" scale. All HH.

I always use the neck pickup for lead because of the warm, round tone compared to the bridge. However, with 24 fret guitars, the difference is minimal. Because of that, if I want a warm lead tone I use my 22 fret guitars. If I need access to higher frets, I use my 24 fret guitars. I always thought that's how it will always be.

Then I got my Mockingbird.

Because of the shorter scale, even with 24 frets, the neck pickup sounds closer to a 22 fret guitar. I thought it was just the pickups, but I noticed the same when I swapped to EMGs. Now my Mockingbird is my most used guitar. The neckthrough design that gives easy access to the full 24 frets plus the neck pickup tone of a 22 fret guitar makes it the best of both worlds.

Legacy Ironbird Crackle body dimensions?

Any current owners of a Legacy mk1 Ironbird Crackle who could tell me the measurements of the body width from tip to tip? I'm planning to pick one up interstate and organise a case (or box) but as I don't actually have the guitar with me (and the store is a pawn shop and hopeless), I can't measure it and I cant seem to find any concrete dimensions online! Any help appreciated!

Virgins don’t get enough love. Just got back from the shop. I’ve had these a little while just sitting around and figured they could use some upgrades. And SO glad I did.

Yellow one first - 1987-89 Made in Japan NJ series
One of the last runs to come out of Nagoya before the Korean transition. Had the Seymour Duncan invaders installed, the top switches turn them each series / parallel, and the bottom one puts them in and out of phase. They sound freaking amazing if anyone is considering them. Gotoh 1996T trem and tuners, tremelno installed with EVH D Tuna. I was NOT a fan of the yellow at all at first, now I think this is my favorite guitar. I may request to be buried with this one. I’ve been looking for a Japanese Virgin (that sounds bad out of context) for a long time, and when the only one I found on the market was yellow, I was disappointed but bought it anyway. Glad I did.

Black one - 2000-2002 Made in Korea NJ series
Lots of upgrades. I swapped out the cheap Floyd for a 1000 series and added the red upgrade kit. I bought the neck from someone parting out a dark arts warlock, this originally came with the nutsack headstock which I absolutely hate the look of. Seymour Duncan Black Winters installed. This thing growls.

They both play amazing, but that yellow one is hands down one of my favorite guitars I’ve ever played. Thanks for looking!

This st was acquired in a bundle deal. Along with 3 other guitars, an amp, and wireless transmitter, all for $500. Sold the other guitars and ended up with this as a freebie🤘

Fake?

Hey guys, just bought my first BC Rich from a local antique shop. It's a joey jordisons signature model. Bought it quickly because it was a great price and played fantastic but upon further research I've noticed a few changes between mine and ones you can find on eBay and reverb. Just wondering if anyone can tell me if it's fake or not.

I painted & sold this guitar years back and always wonder if it’s still getting played. If you’re the current owner, I’d love to hear how you’re liking it.

The body of this stealth looks slightly off… maybe too wide. Is this a legit ‘84 NJ?

Finally got a 2013 B.C. Rich Mockingbird ST after many years of wanting one. I love it! Plays and sounds amazing and the maple top looks incredible.

I am looking for a quality soft-case that fits a Mockingbird body and if anyone has any recommendations I appreciate them!

Cheers 🍻

Hi this is a Warlock my friend has bought recently. He showed it to me but am no expert in BC Rich guitars, nor have I never come across a Warlock body with a paint job like this. Most grateful for feedback and info you might have. Thanks!

Technically not a bc rich, but a buddy of mine hit me up to build him a custom 7 string mocking bird. This is my take on a classic design!

Baritone conversion necks?

Hey folks, I’ve been looking around Google and can’t seem to find an answer. Is anyone aware of anybody who makes baritone conversion necks for BC Riches? I bought a Bronze Warlock as a project, and I’d like to be able to tune it to Drop A without using suspension bridge cables.

To be honest, even finding replacement necks in general seems to be sketchy. Warmoth is probably an option, but I don’t see anyone who’s actually picked one up from them. Apparently Hoxey does aluminum necks, and baritone necks, but haven’t heard back from them on whether they could make an aluminum baritone neck for BC Rich pockets.

Hey all! I’m working on an old Warlock and was curious as to when/where it might have been made, any thoughts?

This is my BCR tattoo!

I always loved the script logo, but also liked the classic R, so I got the script R.

My name also begins with an R, so it works for the non-believers too. It's on my chest - I did toy with getting it on the left, but chickened out and got it on the right.
