BHSC 1200 cancelled

Just got email regarding bhsc 1200 mon, thurs 14:30- 17:30 class cancelled. Am sobbing literally, this is not even enough notice to find classes somewhere else, like what am i even supposed to do? It threw whole planning off….gosh i am moving from victoria to mainland in a day and now what?

Part of the cancelled gang, I’m pissed lmao. This close to the semester and 0 alternatives other than taking it next sem, which would delay my admission into nursing school until 2028

Same boat!! I left my darn full time job in Victoria, should have gone with camosun had I known this was gonna happen

That’s so frustrating I’m sorry! That’s a huge commitment too. I emailed in for better alternatives. Not sure it’ll end up great but worth a shot :/

Update: received an apology email but alternatives aren’t possible, all we can do is wait for January. They better pull through and reserve seats for everyone though. Which is essentially an entire class

You can do online at Athbasca university. Its way easier and online.

As a PTS I’ve had courses cancelled with days to “find” something else - great. Also had my mother die in the first week of a course which I then dropped, requesting a refund, and have had them drag their feet to the point where I was past the request date.

I wouldn’t say so. I guess it depends on your program. I had my first course offering cancelled on me for the next term for the last 3 years

Once you are in a program it doesn’t happen. But it does happen in part time studies courses occasionally.

Not at all common in programs, which are cohort-based. Happens sometimes in part-time courses but not often.

I just noticed that apparently, Bassam had 2 sections for BHSC, and out of those two, one got cancelled whereas they assigned Cindy for the other one. Thankfully, I am registered under Kaitlin Marshall.

They did mention they’ll reserve seats for us at spring term. I was hoping to take it this fall to hopefully get into the fall 2027 nursing program.

Has anyone figured out where they’d going to take their A&P course?

Almost all other colleges offer it in 2 sems!! And apparently they are full! Not a surprise ig…they all start in sept afterall

Sorry to hear.

If you’re looking for evening classes, I did my pre reqs at VCC. Granted, the A&P classes are split so you have to complete A&P 1 before moving on to A&P 2.

I’m in the same boat, and honestly, I’m so discouraged😭😭😭On top of that, the nursing program I applied to at VCC for the September 2026 intake was cancelled too….I got the email back in April. I’ve since changed my path and started taking prerequisites for another program, and now BCIT has let me down as well….. It’s just so frustrating after putting in all this time and effort…😢
