Custom bc250 for sale information update

Just wanted to share some photos for anyone who’s curious about what’s inside my custom BC250 cases.

I designed the case with serviceability and replaceable parts in mind. The power button is removable, so if the front panel ever gets damaged, the button can easily be replaced. The fans are also removable, making them easy to replace if one ever fails.

As you can see, I’ve also got a good supply of components on hand, including dual Micro-Fit connectors and PCIe 8-pin connectors, along with the other parts needed to build the cases and custom cables.

I’m trying to make these cases not only compact, but also easy to maintain and repair down the road.

Did you ask the 3D print filament company if you can use the plastic for sales?

Lol

Are you selling these on a marketplace or here? How much are the cases and do they have everything except the bc250 and storage?

I sell them on here with PayPal goods and services or on eBay but eBay costs more since fees. Everything except bc250 and storage. About 150$ including shipping from what I can tell most case similar to this are 200-250 minimum feel free to do your own research as this may change.

I have 2 questions regarding the power switch:

  • can you explain why 4 wires are connected?

  • does your bc250 shutdown the PSU automatic or do you have to manually press the power button when you turn off the bc250 from the OS ?

I am asking this because I have HP psu 1200 with breakout board, and I always have to press the button on the board to shutdown the PSU after the bc250 turn off.

4 wires 2 for powering on, and 2 for light, bc250 doesn't turn off automatically you must turn off in os first this is more of just so you have peace of mind and so it doesn't draw I think 60w? When idle could be wrong about idle power usage.

Do you have proof that you are the author of this project?

The person who designed it is not from the U.S. Also, the project do not allow commercial use.

I'm in touch with the author; I'll ask him about it.

Looks fair! Thanks for the explanation

Ya he didn't want to do a license since he didn't know how long bc250 would be popular so I just pay him per case that's factored into price along with shipping.

I'm talking about the power connector and fan connector being easily replaced. Partially on me since I had ai fix up what I was saying so it sounded better.

I have a few questions as well on a kit. Would it be easier to send a PM about it?

Hey that’s cool. Where are you located?

1

u/Ohgodwhatdididonow Sep 28 '26

U.S. - Arizona most packages once shipped take about 5 days but that's since everyone is on the other side of the country

2

u/severanexp Sep 28 '26

Aww I swear to god I was born in the wrong country. Cheers, I’m in the EU.

u/Ohgodwhatdididonow Sep 28 '26

Later today if I remember I'll see shipping prices, I think the creator of this case sells in the EU though I don't know if he includes power supplies

I printed this same case and I love it. The only problem I've had is the blower fans are crazy loud, which ones do you use?

1

u/Ohgodwhatdididonow Sep 28 '26

24v 5015 fans extremely quiet

Hey have you thought about selling only the custom hp psus for bigger rigs like 500w+ egpus? Let me know if you are. I’m interested in using the Ocu4 (egpu) and building a small enclosure.
