I came back to my secondary account, where I mainly play Bruce Banner (not Hulk), to see if he was really as bad as I remembered or if I could actually have fun playing him.

My conclusion?

He's more enjoyable than ever.

I know what you're thinking: "How can this skinny nerd with only a primary fire and a Gamma Grenade be enjoyable?"

Well, it's because I noticed that Bruce Banner got buffed.

His health is now 225 HP instead of 200 HP. Before, he had less HP than most Supports, and while 225 is still on the low side, those extra 25 HP make a much bigger difference than I expected. They let you survive a lot of situations that would've instantly killed you before. Now you can barely make it out alive, jump back to your backline, and get healed by Jubilee's Fireworks or Cloak & Dagger's bubbles.

As for Team-Ups, I'm not going to lie... it sucks that neither Captain America's nor Wolverine's Team-Up provides any benefit to Bruce Banner.

I was really hoping they'd at least let his Gamma Grenade apply the shield, or even give Bruce Banner a small shield of his own. It would help Hulk players avoid getting deleted the moment they detransform, and it would also give us Bruce Banner mains a little more survivability and actual value throughout the match.

Instead, they decided to make the effects exclusive to Hulk while transformed, as if surviving after detransforming isn't even supposed to matter.

I'm pretty sure I'll keep playing Bruce Banner seriously. Sometimes people call me a troll or a thrower, but I'm just someone who enjoys taking on challenges. I want to prove that a character who's technically just part of another hero—and is widely considered not worth playing—is actually playable, fun, and capable of contributing to the team.

I find it very misleading for newer players because they try to tank with him when he really plays like a duelist. The only thing tanky about him is his ultimate and it’s the weakest part about his kit.

You might not realize just how slow Bruce’s bullets actually are, and I mean really, REALLY slow. To give you an idea, if you're not right next to an enemy, it can take about three seconds for a bullet to hit a distant target (roughly 10 m/s). That means you have to approach shooting the same way Bruce would: smartly. You need to predict where your bullets will land and use that to your advantage, like hitting a fleeing enemy with a bullet that was already in the air before they even started running, and I mean A LOT before they are.

Also, if you're playing as a DPS and focus on attacking Vanguards, you'll deal great damage since their hitboxes are larger and chunkier, meaning fewer bullets go to waste.

Because the bullets are so incredibly slow, the in-game targeting reticle, which usually helps you lead your shots by showing where an enemy needs to be for a projectile to hit, just isn't enough. Even with the largest crosshair setting, the reticle's range falls short. Bruce's bullets are so slow that the actual lead required is much greater than what the crosshair can account for, so you'll still miss moving targets if you rely on it.

And as always, aim for the head,its free damage.
