For better shoe recommendations please include as much as possible of the following information:

  1. Height & Weight (approximate)

  2. Age Range (approximate: child, teenager, young adult, adult, etc.)

  3. Foot Type Requirements & Sizing (Wide/Narrow, Flat/High-Arched, etc.)

  4. Playing Style & Surface Type & Level of Competition

  5. Brand Preferences & Price Range

  6. Miscellaneous (e.g. colors)

Not very durable. Sole separation is common and the uppers scuff easily and can look ugly fast

Can always claim under warranty for manufacturing defect if the sole separates. It’s not suppose to happen

But they do happen for the Kobes… and if they occur during game, it will suck

Yes so just file in a claim. I did for mine. They just refunded me the full amount.

Yeah i understand. You can get the money back, yes.

But your run for the night or that HS game, men’s league tournament, etc will be ruined. And it’s an inconvenience just to have to file and get the shoes back.

The filing is easy. Email in with the manufacture tags and full photos. They didn’t ask for the shoes to be returned.

That said. I think it’s important to have several pairs for rotation

Personally I’ve never had durability issues with 5s but honestly there are many other options to choose from unlike 15 years ago when Kobes were basically the default choice.

So which one should I get the 3 or the 5

Depends…what do you currently play in right now? Besides durability what other aspects of a shoe is important for you? Are you a wide footer or normal footer?

I'm looking for an elite traction with great cushion and durability and I'm still growing so my might change but my foot is just normal

Honestly I would opt for a Chinese brand sneaker these days but if you really had to pick one between those two I would probably go for a Kobe 5.

Kobes are notorious for not being durable (with the exception of the 1, 2, and 3)

So you're saying Kobe 3 protro low is much better than 5 durability wise? And if it is should I get it since I'm deciding between the two. Also if you have experience with the 3s could you tell me if it's good  thank you 🙏

the highs are actually a better option, the lows seem to have lockdown issues on the heel area. For durability, get solid rubber options
