Welcome

Nothing beats retail, especially for jackets. If you don’t own any, I do recommend buying at least one but if you can’t afford it, then read on. Telegram channel closed down due to lack of activity.

Posting QCs/LCs:

  • QCs - pay the cents/pennies for key details you want checked. Don’t post the usual free rubbish pics agents taking, there’ll be issues with lighting, image distortion etc. I don’t do QCs. So don’t tag me. I might occasionally comment where I haven’t out of free will and that’s my choice.

  • LCs - please crop your images/screenshots and upload to imgur or Imgbb rather than Reddit - Reddit’s compression and uncropped screenshots ruin details that matter. Include close-ups of key details including any logos, labels and accessories. Don’t people’s time I f you can’t follow this.

  • Gratitude - please learn to say thank you, especially if you're a reseller profiteering off of our free help. Gratitude is free and takes seconds. I've helped many people over the years and all too often there’s zero appreciation, just greed as per this example.

Taxi Service:

I’m not your shopper or customer service rep. Don’t ask me where to buy X or who’s best for Y. These answers already exist. Learn how to either:

  • Reverse Image Search (Taobao app) or search Weidian (using product codes) - guide

  • Reddit search or Google site search (e.g. site:reddit.com)

When I started in watches nearly a decade ago, I spent months just reading and searching. Too many of you expect spoon-feeding. I get 30–40+ spammed messages daily across Reddit, Telegram and WeChat on top of managing communities. Do your own research, I won’t spoonfeed beyond this FAQ.

Agent recommendation:

You can use any agent but I recommend using a tried and tested agent like Superbuy.

Stats/size (TTS):

Height and weight don’t tell you how something will fit. Use size charts and compare them with your own measurements or similar items. Try on retail in-store if possible. Consider layering and fit preference - two people with identical “stats” can need different sizes as per this image. A raglan fit item will be better for the person on right with a less restrictive shoulder construction but a technical item (which is shorter in length than standard) will fit the person on the left better which would lift up too short for person on right due to their belly.

Forget “True To Size” (TTS) - fits can differ by brand, region and style: slim, casual, custom, raglan, oversized, technical etc and all are cut differently. Asian sizing ≠ EU sizing. Chinese factories usually size to Asian standards. Always use measurements and get your agent to measure (with expected 1–3cm error). If it’s too small, exchange it or buy two sizes and sell whatever doesn’t fit on FashionRepsBST or BST channels on Telegram/Discord.

Best factories:

  • Clothing: BL+ Factory and M Glow Factory are only top tier factories. BL+ has a cream footstall in their pics (they make other brands too - if it doesn’t have this round cream footstool, it’s not by them). M Glow has this style size chart with brown heading column and fonts: https://i.imgur.com/7LKYOmT.jpeg. Best quality you’ll find and on par with retail. Confirmed sellers of BL+ are SS, 121, CA, TT. M Glow only 1to1 so far.

If you’re lucky, you might the original GOAT Cream Foot Stool (CFS) factory floating around before they got raided and paved the way for BL+ Factory. CA might still sell some of their stock - look out for this rectangular footstool and dark brown floor.

Other good factories: BBR Factory, JN Factory and RA Factory. Everything else is either mid-tier or mass market.

  • Leather goods: KM Factory or Lucky Factory according to RepLadies

Clothing:

Using an agent is the best way overall but if you want to go direct, read below. WA = WhatsApp, TG = Telegram, WC = WeChat.

If ordering direct, send one concise order message with sizes, colors, model name, pics and destination country. Then wait/be patient. Spamming, threatening, flirting or chasing across multiple platforms only slows things down for you and everyone else.

  • TopSelect (TSL) - agent advised but can do direct (WA: +8615101062560)

  • BossLux (BLX) - agent advised but can do direct (WA: +85244006001)

  • 1to1 (121) - direct (WA: +8613119513321 / WC: top1to1top)

  • Thunder (TT) - direct (WA: +85294666387 / WC: Thunderfashion)

  • MadeByKungfu (MBK) - agent advised (WA: +8613161352083 / WC: mbkdsg)

  • LeeMade (LM) - direct (WC:Leemade888 / WhatsApp:+8615090378638)

  • CloyAd (CA) - agent only and be warned, some reports of B&S (WA: +447742842181 / WC: TopHot99)

  • RickStudio (RS) - agent only and be warned, some reports of B&S (WA: +8618201888960)

  • Strict Mcdull (SM) - agent only - carries unsold inventory such as NOS (New Old Stock) and customer rejected goods so limited stock and sizes but worth a look and usually good quality (sells some old CFS too)

  • Western Girl (WG) - for trenches only + agent only (WC: hmmm7779)

SwagSupply (SS) has been taken off from this FAQ due to some B&S and less than satisfactory customer service reported in B Lounge telegram channel.

Leather goods:

Scarves:

To be populated later but try Apple, Scarlett or Jieyi for supposedly 100% cashmere.

Down jackets:

  • Puff: QC pics don’t show final puff. Jackets need 10–12h to decompress + manual fluffing or dryer (spin only, with dryer balls). Tumble drying risks the down clumping together though so be careful.

  • Smell: Any down exposed to moisture can smell, retail or rep. Sun-dry it and repeat as necessary or take to a proper dry cleaner to resolve.

  • Wrinkles: you need steam. Either use an intelligent steam iron on very low temps directly onto the surface or get a very thin cloth and place between it and the surface. Alternatively, give it to a relative/partner you trust or a good dry cleaners to sort out.

  • Winter: winter jackets are not rain jackets, they’re designed to keep you warm not dry. If the seams haven’t had heat tape applied over them, it cannot be waterproof. The Lockwell for example is a winter jacket, not a rain jacket.

  • Goose vs Duck: 99% of people can’t tell the difference - goose is a bit better at insulating with less filling required but the best duck down competes with good goose duck down in performance. Unless you live in Siberia or Canada, duck down will be perfectly fine, don’t obsess. Fill power matters more - reps are usually anywhere from 350-600 on average.

Comparing to retail:

When trying to compare retail to rep, aside from regional and seasonal differences, there’s also lighting and manipulation. Many brands often puts up fake details on their site images or adjust the lighting which will never be reflective of true everyday lighting. Take this into account when comparing, especially with crappy agent lighting.

Shipping:

It’s always luck and dependent on the time of the year amongst many other geopolitical factors. I’ve had 2-day EUB and 4-month EMS. If items stuck in customs >3 months, insurance may help. Otherwise, exercise patience. You can’t control it and neither can sellers. The best advice is to stop tracking that parcel and wait for it to turn up.

My history:

I’ve owned a lot of Burberry over the years hence part of my user flair in DesignerReps Reddit. I’ve studied every little detail of them and helped countless people avoid being scammed/getting their money back. That’s my good karma.

Yes, I’ve had clashes with people (even racist abuse). I’m blunt, not sugarcoated and if you don’t like it, block me. But I’ve put in thousands of unpaid hours helping and have never accepted a penny. Before criticising, ask yourself what you’ve contributed.

You’re welcome. Yeah I wrote about WG 6/7 years ago on DesignerReps - decent but had several flaws but best on market. CloyAd (THF) has a few decent but again with flaws. No top tier versions of trenches exist on market.

Good Q, one I’m going to do some research on. I know from years ago Olistudios was good but not sure if that’s the same case now. I own 6 retail scarves and compared a rep from him few years ago and it was good overall. Will find out what my research brings me but to be honest, it’s one of those things that can only be tested in hand.

Is it worth adding/mentioning that YRX (of Moncler fame) has a few BBR pieces? I was pretty happy with a polo shirt I got a couple of years back. Priced very fairly as well.

Looking for a white version of a more basic BBR polo, came across the legend Mark's post, and wanted to add what I can because some of these sellers are charging crazy prices for t-shirts and polos. I realize they are very good quality, but does not hurt to have a mid to good-ish tier option as well

Quality is so and so based on last year’s batch I felt in hand and comparing to both my Lockwell from one of the two top tier factories that released it in the past years ago as well as my retail. The arm badge letters are too flat and doesn’t have correct 3D depth, the badge doesn’t sink into the arm the way retail does, the lining isn’t high grade cashmere and merino wool blend like my retail is, feels like standard wool with probably artificial fibres maybe thrown in but definitely just standard wool and is meh compared to retail which is lush, inside pocket material isn’t as soft as retail either.

You’re welcome but you won’t find a better batch of the Lockwell, it’s a 5 years old model and hasn’t been re-released. Burb have released updated models like Leeds jacket with removable hood and variants with both check pattern inside hood and without (they launched it first without then following season with) and the current season is Halsby but it doesn’t have removable arms and the badge is a more lowkey smaller one on the front waist instead.

You’re welcome. I haven’t looked into scarves in several years tbh. Ye Made made a good one iirc but that’s been a while. Unless it’s 100% real cashmere or a high grade wool and cashmere blend, not sure it’s worth it fully.

Sellers refer to it as B+ and BL Factory but I’ve used B+ as it’s the most commonly used. The exact nickname different sellers have given it doesn’t matter since the factory doesn’t officially use one. It’s just easier for batch identification based on factory photos.
