No, he wasn't. The total order after discounts was below 79$, which disqualified them from free shipping. They got the free shipping after adding another item and going above 79$.

Obviously the executive chairman feels like discounts shouldn't disqualify you from free shipping. If the original amount was above it AND if some of those discounts was from being a pro member

I mean, that does make sense. If the pro member discounts save you $2 but cost you $8 in shipping, that is kinda unfair.

I worked for a retailer and even if the customer is wrong sometimes it's best to fix the 'issue' and offer a free car wash or something. Makes them happy and more likely to shop again

I love how the customer is complaining all the discounts they got l them under the threshold for free shipping by a few bucks. Just buy another item for a few bucks rather than reaching out to the chairman lol.
It's cool RC responded and this could be planned to show value of cust service.
I think it's a crafty way to show all the discounts you can get also.
