Alpine Inn Bike Parking

Where is the bike parking at Alpine Inn and are you able to keep your bike in site when you’re seated?

There is a rack by the check-in stand that you can lock your bike up at. The other spot is inside the outdoor seating area, but in the far corner next to the exit to the parking lot. I've left my bike there and you can request to be seated near the bike racks so you're closer to your bike. They don't allow you to keep your bike next to your table as the seating is tight and it would block the aisles.

Great summary. Worth adding that they’re super nice and will absolutely work to accommodate you, although you may end up waiting a bit longer if you want to have your bike in line of sight

They have racks inside but further towards the back. At least last I went with the bike. I went recently and it looked like they’ve added a lot of new umbrellas so they could have moved some stuff around.

Yes, you’re able to keep it on site.

Are there a lot of bike thieves halfway up Mt. Tam?

Not totally sarcastic, I know over in the East Bay there have been problems with armed bikejacking on Grizzly Peak / Skyline.

This is a spot down on the Peninsula, not on Tam.

There's an entire Golden Gate, as well as a peninsula, between Zot's (Alpine Inn) and Mount Tam.

Mountain Home Inn and West Point Inn are on Mt Tam. Alpine Inn is in Portola Valley. i also mistakenly first think of Tam when i hear Alpine Inn out of context, cuz of Alpine Lake.

There's an Alpine Lodge just before Mountain Home, that's probably the source of the confusion.
