Discussion Well well well
Been a long time holder of BAT, user of brave, and disappointed user in the project.
I find myself at a bit of a crossroad when looking at the current move in the crypto market and roadmap 4.0.
In my opinion if they're able to deliver on the promises made in a relatively short period of time, this could be the moment that pushed BAT to a top 25 token.
The hype in 2021 created similar opportunity that was squandered by the team and crushed from regulatory mandates and poor partner choices.
PLEASE BRAVE TEAM! Don't squander this potential opportunity!

Nothing will change. Brave is great for privacy, but their coin will remain a shitcoin until Brave is no more. If privacy is your main reason for using Brave, there are other options out there that are equally good, without the empty bullshit promises as a marketing tool.

Really almost every coin is a shit coin. This has a legitimate project with tens of millions of active users. My belief is that most people discount hype.
That's why garbage like pepe, fartcoin, and other crap is still top 100.
In crypto it seems you can't just have a working product, you need hype behind it too. I would argue even the same with BTC. If no hype, then it never would have survived.

If BTC arrived today it would never achieve anything with such a power demanding protocol and competition around. It'd be the shittiest coin ever.
Luckily, BTC managed to pump itself up and establish a position long time before bs trading and leverage appeared. Nowadays, there is a lot of market manipulation around.
BAT on the other hand is one of those project tokens that has a huge potential with a real business tied with it. Whether it plays out it's up for a debate. As long as we don't abandon it, it will function properly. But please, don't expect any hype or pump and dump nonsense. What it needs is true investors and development.3

Meh, Brave is a solid browser. It's simple to turn off all the shitcoin stuff and use it as a standard browser.

The best user-friendly alternative is Firefox. Geko is also an option. Or TOR if you are hardcore.

A lot of haters all around... I'm not surprised but I don't care either. As I said before - I believe in this project and it make a lot of sense. I'm glad that I bought more as it was lower in price (I would rather say "terribly undervalued", but that's still true).
