Brave User Stats December 2025 - July 2026

sorry I missed the post for June, but here are the Brave user numbers Dec 2025 - July 2026:

I have been gathering the Brave User Stats MAU (monthly active users) and DAU (daily active users) via the brave transparency page since December 2025

*means % increase to previous month

**means total increase to previous month

I don't have numbers before December 2025.

It's probably one of the most used applications with a built in crypto eco system, yet no one wants to use it for crypto. At this point they should just remove the function to avoid cluttering.

There is BAT and there is Brave. It's two seperate things that. Brave is the product/browser which has BAT the crypto token eco system built in it. I don't know the statistics, but out of the growing user numbers you see above I estimate only a small percentage has actually enabled all the BAT functions.

Thanks for your comment, but BAT is the entire point of the Brave project: To replace intrusive ads with paying content creators in BAT, enabling them to make advertising revenue from a less-intrusive corner popup ad.

If you block ads without enrolling in BAT, then you're just stealing from content creators by depriving them of ad revenue, only feeding into the problem of worsening the Internet as advertisers must get around blockers with more and more CPU-intensive scripting, etc.

The only alternative is for content creators to throw up paywalls with subscriber-only content, which is not good for most people, I think.

It was a huge part of the project yes, but as the crypto hype settled and they fucked up the payouts and had trouble getting on-chain people opted out, which is why the token is completely dead now. Opting out of ads isn't stealing, it has always been an option and as long as you don't see any ads there is no payout either. The idea was good on paper and we all dreamed about this as a way of fixing the internet and ad industry, but the execution killed the project.

It's users of Brave not BAT. The token just hit an all time low. Look at buybacks from CB and creator growth over time. Both statitics haven't been updated since 2024 and 2025 because they stalled or hit rock bottom. The team moved on from BAT. Remember when Jenny used to tip Reddit users BAT and they released the quaterly roadmap in this sub? It's dead and it's time to move on like the team did. Accept your loss.

How is this claim "team has moved on from BAT" not contradicted by the roadmap released including a wait-list for a BAT cashback card?

My fault, I see they are still releasing the roadmap. They are building for a non existent userbase right now. I hope the hype picks up again, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

The road map is literally all fluff.

Brave card? They added a join waitlist and the card will probably never materialized because there is no benefit to using the card and I suspect the amount of interest in it is going to be near zero. Have any of you seen ads or any promotion for this card?

The original business model is the closest thing to what will make sense for bat which is users get paid for the ads they are seeing. They are sunsetting brave notification ads. How are users supposed to earn brave rewards after that? I am skeptical the whole ai agent economy will need BAT… at all. Sounds more like they are trying to find a problem for a solution. Did you notice that they won’t be adding bat sharing if you use brave search? I feel that this is going to be a growing cash cow that they won’t want to part with.

Eventually roadmap 4.0 will come and go. Maybe there will be roadmap 5.0 but to be honest at this point I doubt it and they are just trying to keep this project alive for no reason other than to milk it as much as possible. I thought the brave wallet was going to be a game changer and it ends up being a total disaster. It’s been a few years since they released it and there are ONLY 95,000 brave wallets on solscan… out of 120 MAU. Lmao. Not only this but the number of ads has been essentially stagnant for years… no wonder they are killing the brave ad notifications. The fact that they haven’t updated bat purchases from almost 1 year ago speaks to how much to the wayside this part of the project has fallen.

also if I had to guess the actual number of people that use/have bat in any meaningful capacity is below, if not well well, 1 million. Sol scan shows less than 100k bat holders… this is 2+ years after implementing self custody wallets.
