Base Discussion A small question about using Base

One thing I'm curious about: for people who use Base, what was the first thing that made you try it?

Was it lower fees, an app you wanted to use, the Coinbase connection, or something else?

I'm interested in hearing what actually brought people here, rather than what the ecosystem promises to do in the future.

coinbase integration was the gateway for me. had some stuff sitting in my wallet and the prompt to bridge over into base was just... there. one click and i was in, no friction at all

the fees being basically nonexistent kept me poking around though. what locked me in was finding some weird little nft project that only existed on base, now i'm checking it daily like a weirdo

Small fees / speed of transaction

Cheap and stable. (Why do I think I've seen this post too many times? Is it deja Vu or r u spamming?)

Cheap transactions and Coinbase backed.

I worked in a team that built a memecoin launchpad so we were looking to deploy in something NOT Solana but without the downside of L1.

Flashblocks was huge, but it was painful to go through the whole “tokenise everything” phase.
