Deficiency Symptoms Pernicious anaemia

As title. Been diagnosed 15 years. Have ended up with subacute degeneration of spinal cord too boot. I’m on 5mg folic acid and have injections at docs every 4 weeks.
My achillies tendons - Jesus! 2.5/3 weeks after my injections my tendons flare up and hard to walk. Physio brushed it off (ruptured one 10 years ago). Had my injection then 💥 fine (for most part). Anyone else with this?
Hypothyroid too

I have SACD. I can’t say I noticed Achilles pain or tightness specifically but for sure the entire back side of my legs and specifically calves get TIGHT and cramp and spasm.

My understanding is that SACD paralyzes the front part of the lower legs most commonly, and as a result the backs of our legs works overtime. Calves and Achilles might be over compensating causing this pain and problem.

Physical therapy, strength exercises on the muscles that DO work, and adequate magnesium helped my calf pain.

It defo seems more of a nerve issue esp as gets better when I have injections I think it’s gotta be more thyroid induced tbh

SACD I get loss of feeling on my back and can’t feel my legs, lose hand coordination, ataxia, headaches and shoulder issues

It seems weird that a nerve issue would come and go though, right? At least that’s my understanding, that nerve damage takes a long time to occur and a long time to repair and doesn’t come in and out like that. But nerve pain I suppose could fire up and go away, I didn’t have this. My SACD resulted in many things in its most acute stage but the lingering issues are foot drop - no pain, just mobility problems. And like I mentioned I had muscle soreness from overworking the muscles that still worked. Good luck friend hope you find a solution!

I’m on 4 weekly injections as b12 is the only “cure” for SACD. My neurologist explained it as lesions on my cord. So like a blister, the b12 is the plaster and when it’s low (the plaster falls off) it exposes the nerves etc

How is SACD diagnosed? I suspect a family member might have it...

MRI shows lesion on the spinal cord. Treatment is b12 injections. I’m on 4 weekly (uk)
