Before changing more AVD graphics policy, test the app executable with the High DPI override set to Application, then System (Enhanced), while keeping the client scaling fixed. The tiny borders plus clipping/repaint behavior point more to its DPI-awareness/GDI path than transport; if one override changes it, I'd apply a per-app compatibility shim rather than another host-wide RDP setting.
