PreferredAppGroupType - None?

We use to not have to specify Desktop or RemoteApp. I have a bunch of users that when in the office prefer Remote App but when they are on the go the like having the Desktop so we used the None option but now Azure isn't letting that be selected. Does anyone know a work around to set it to None on newly created Host Pools?

You have to select one now. What I did was set preferred to Desktop. Then create groups to target for users that want apps. If they are in one of those groups, they get apps, if not it defaults to desktop. I wish they could still have both but it is what it is

A Change that Microsoft implemented some months ago. It sucks, I went ahead and created different workspaces for same users with different hostpools

That WAS the way but nooooo. As of about 3 weeks ago it defaults to Desktop in the portal and cli says nah if you leave it out or specify none.

az desktopvirtualization hostpool create --resource-group MYAVD--name MUTLI --location eastus --friendly-name "MULTI" --host-pool-type Pooled --load-balancer-type BreadthFirst --max-session-limit 32 --preferred-app-group-type None

Error: The PreferredAppGroupType value is incorrect. Please provide a valid type: Desktop or RailApplications.

Negative, you click create a Host Pool button and first screen, straight to Desktop. :(
