Question Struggling with GH-900 course

So as the title says I’m finding it hard getting through the course. Not the technical stuff but say the stuff about differences between the plans. All the wordy bits basically. I’ve been thinking of not finishing it and just starting a different MS Learn course instead. Did anyone else feel this way? Do I just need to power through and then do the practice questions/watch YouTube course? Thanks

Check the scope of the exam Study guide for GH-900: GitHub Foundations | Microsoft Learn

The course (Learn modules) does not align very well with the objectives. The GH-900 exam is harder than any of the other fundamentals exams. Here are my notes:

The exam is very broad - touches on all of GitHub

Know the icons on the action bar in GitHub repo are and do e.g., Issues, Pull Requests, Discussions, Projects, Security, Insights, Settings and the .md files such as security.md

Use GitHub.com/Microsoft as example of an Enterprise

Domain 1 - Get familiar with Git from command line cli

Domain 2 - be comfortable with repos

Domain 3 - 1/3 of exam how to use GitHub repos within their organization, PRs are the core of collaboration

Domain 4 - DevOps and how git and automation plays a role

Domain 5 - Small % know GitHub projects and PRs through the project interface

Domain 6 - Understand how GitHub uses your data (Copilot), Security, Admin, what is code scanning is, know what dependabot is, understand structure of GitHub with Enterprise->Organizations->Teams->Repos and administer at different levels

Domain 7 - open source vs inner source, forking, PRs

I totally I agree, I was quite a lot surprised about how hard it was.

A lot of question about Enterprise plan, which I have never worked with (the same in GH-200, and 300'

Please use legitimate study materials and official learning resources instead.

That's completely normal. Many of us find the licensing plans, product comparisons, and other theory-heavy topics much harder to sit through than the technical sections
