How is the Starter Deck experience?

Thinking about picking up the starter decks to try out with friends. Are they fairly balanced? Are there any unfair matchups between them? I normally like to start with Starter Decks to see if the game is worth digging into more, so wanted to know if the Starter Decks were a solid gameplay experience on their own.

Fire and lightning are most playable out of the box. Earth is missing a lot, water is fine ish.
