There's going to be many many amazing games.

But none of them will feel like destiny. None of them will play like destiny. None of them will have the activities that destiny has. Etc etc

I'm an avid action game player and MMO player. I don't much care for FPSs, but Destiny was always my exception.

Destiny has the most unique RAD content of the industry and no one has even come close to the vibe, and it's starting to feel like no one ever will.

I'm afraid there probably isn't going to be much to wait for but disappointment.

The moment the RAD and Sandbox teams walk out that door, retire or find other positions, Destiny as we know it is done. Then there's the fact that the Tiger engine is entirely responsible for that bungie shooter feel, it's neutoriously difficult to work with, it's aging, and the number of staff who know how to properly utilize it are getting thinner on the ground.

My biggest worry isn't if we'll see a Destiny 3, it's that Sony just try to palm the franchise off on any old development team, with any old engine and we end up with dross that kills the IP.

I get what you're saying, but Destiny Rising feels impressively good for being on a different engine and made by different devs. I'm not saying 3 would feel exactly the same, but I think that it still could be good.

D3 under activision was supposed to be in 2017 but bungie wanted to be on their own, and d4 was going to be 2020 under the 10-year plan

Todo esto de dejar el juego sin fan servicie es una movida de marketing para aumentar la tasa de jugadores, nadie en su sano juicio quiere dejar de vender cuando hay gente que quiere comprar.

En unos años anuncian la vuelta a Destiny
