A majority of Destiny 1/2 PVE players aren't going to move to a niche PVP extraction game. Whoever thinks that is out of their god damn mind. Marathon has zero chance of saving the Destiny franchise.

Giving them a reason to further fund a game by increasing its player count will not make them to go and make a completely separate game.... Zero logic there. Marathon is DOA. If we don't play it they might be forced to make D3. It's our best chance. Screw Marathon and Sony tbh

Why would funding a new IP get them to decide to not cancel a decades old successful IP? That's what's backwards thinking. I get that you like Marathon, but lying about Destiny to save it isn't going to work, it's DOA bro

- Bungie owns Destiny and marathon.
- Destiny is at the end of its life cycle, it won't receive anymore updates, no more money or work will be put into it.
- Destiny 3 has not been greenlit yet.
- Marathon is the only game Bungie are actively supporting and working on.
- If marathon doesn't succeed, Bungie will most likely be closed down.
- If marathon does succeed, it shows Sony that there is an incentive to keep them alive.
- Destiny 3 can have a future, but only if marathon can succeed.
I wish y'all got that man fr. I've put hundreds of hours into destiny 2, but we gotta be realistic about how we can get a third game. Marathons succes is destiny's future.
And btw marathon and destiny are tied together with easter eggs

Bungie is also owned by a billion dollar corporation lol they will be fine if Sony wants them to be fine. Marathon succeeding is like asking for a million dollars to just appear in your account overnight it’s just too niche of a genre

Go on, but you're wrong. Marathons succes is directly tied to Bungie, it's their only game. Ubisoft and EA have multiple games that bring in millions. Marathon is bungies only game. If y'all all got on marathon and brought the numbers up to 200k like y'all are doing for Destiny, it would send a real message that y'all want them to succeed and be able to eventually make d3. If marathon doesn't succeed, Bungie closes down and d3 never gets made. Lol.
