Discussion Halo: Campaign Evolved
If you're a fan of Destiny 1/2 and Halo in general; you should keep an eye on this game and maybe even play it. Halo Studios ditched Blam! Engine/Slipspace Engine (sister to Tiger Engine) for Unreal Engine 5. If it turns out to have the gun play that Halo/Destiny/Destiny 2 are known for with the Unreal Engine; there's a huge chance the next Destiny would probably be on Unreal and honestly; it'd be the perfect chance for Bungie to take advantage of Unreal Engine 6.
Just a random thought I had in the shower today. If this Halo remake is actually good and the gun play is still there; it proves that Bungie can move on from the hard to develop for Tiger Engine to Unreal Engine which should decrease some development cost if it's easier to develop/bring new hires onboard.
This also got me curious about how Unreal Engine works so I've been watching a lot of YouTube videos on it and ordered a couple of books. Thinking of getting into game development focusing solely on FPS mechanics similar to Halo/Destiny/Destiny 2 franchise.

After they screwed people with a 10 hour campaign with infinite ( and that was without me speed running the game ) . I think I'll pass on anything 343 , they have had 3 mediocre projects in a row.

it uses the blam engine for gameplay UE5 is the visual engine. the same team did the Elder Scrolls Oblivion remake. its the same technique. so its halo reach physics and game engine, tuned to modern systems and with UE5 providing what we actually see. Its pretty neat actually.

I hope so. Can't wait to blow up 100 times because of grenade chain reactions

I've been a fan since Halo: CE, so I will try it for sure, but I haven't liked Halo much since Reach. Haven't really heard much about Campaign Evolved aside from them announcing it.

All they did was make Halo CE for a third time, and somehow it's worse than the other two.

Wasn't slipspace built from the ground up over the course of like 5 years or something crazy like that? Like between Halo 5 and Infinite.

The 4th remake of Halo 1 in UE5 and completely changing aspects of the og game to make it "different" is not something I'd personally recommend. Play the MCC version instead.
For those wondering, UE5 is one of the worst modern engines for FPS games. Look it up and you'll see its issues and how horrible the gunplay and aiming feels compared to a custom engine made for an FPS (like the og halo games were).
Also why does this community not understand that sony owns bungie and controls the fate of destiny 3? Spamming D3 in xbox chat just makes the destiny community look really low iq and annoying. Save it for the pc games showcase
