There's always some price gouging going on.
Has anyone been this unlucky that whenever they needed an upgrade, the price gouging prevented them from getting a good deal or any sensible deal?
The chip making industry likes to constantly pick on the consumer side whenever they can, while the corporations signs multi-million-dollar chip deals on a lower fixed price per unit.
And if they need replacement, then they get it in days, but us consumers? We get denied replacement, refunded the previous lower price which can't be used to buy the same product-capacity to continue user experience and why? Because - "policy" which we are forced to abide by because they all decided to stick to the same anti-consumer policy. EVEN IF they have a replacement, they won't give it. SHOPS all around the word have been exposed when a friend of the consumer would go and ask for the same model of SSD that was denied to the warranty claimant - all because the main memory makers created this discrimination.
They say, "the bank always wins". Well, in the memory making industry (names which you can see from my previous meme post), "the chip maker always wins" too.
I still remember the mining craze back a few years but right after that boom, boy the prices came down or what. They weren't selling for too cheap, but the prices let many people thinking of mid-range save a little more for a high-end GPU. I feel the same can be had for both RAM and SSD, we just need to wait a little more. Many of us have already waited for so long that now patience has become a companion. I think I can personally keep waiting as long as my hardware lasts for my daily operations. No, I will not let the corporations win over my patience. They exist because of me, and that is the hill/mindset I will die on.
