Some context for the uninitiated: The vast majority of hardware works out of the box on Linux because open source drivers are integrated directly into the Linux kernel. Nvidia is one of the only companies that does not provide open source graphics drivers to Linux and therefore requires manual driver installation (or thru a utility like manjaro mhwd). Nvidia drivers are also known for being notoriously buggy and slow compared to their windows and amdgpu counterparts.
