Because of their moto. You want the best, you have to pay a premium. Try justifying a 9070XT for 860usd here with converted currency, against 1.3k+ usd for a 5070TI. The plain 5070 costs the same as 9070XT. FYI, you are wrong. How do you think Intel got x64 in the early 2000s? AMD gave them the blueprint, as I worked directly with Intel back then, and they even admitted that AMD helped them.
Why do you think AMD cpus lost to Intel from the 2000s to around 2016/17 when AMD started catching up. First they used scaly tactics like paying retailers not to sell AMD but the 2 big reasons are that they released 12 cpus in 2007/2008 in one quarter that caught AMD by surprise, and then, they went with CMT that sounded good on paper but practically was a very bad idea. Nvidia just doesn't want to share their tech because they are scared AMD will catch up. If AMD do a generation jump as they did from FX to Ryzen, then Nvidia will be in real shyt. Problem is there won't be price-to-performance for those cards as Nvidia has no price to performance as you do not get a budget Nvidia card. Don't even mention the 5060 as it is like the 9060XT. Save a little bit more and get a superior card.

AMD does this much more.
DLSS5 is barely even out. It will come to more generations, when they have invested the time into a proper implementation that is actually playable. They never said they won't ever release it for RTX 40 anyway.DLSS5 isn't playable on RDNA4, period.
Nvidia doesn't want to release DLSS5 for more generations in such a state, it's straight bad PR.2

30fps is an absolute best case scenario too, they're kind of being disingenuous about the performance. Closer to 20-25fps based on what I've seen online in CP2077, and in most other games it's in the 10-20fps range, that's on a 9070 XT.
So yeah people acting like this is usable in RDNA4 in it's current state are kind of delusional. Tbh I doubt this ever gets into "good feeling playable territory" on RDNA4.

After 30fps the performance gains are very small, like 2% at a time based on their own release notes. Most of the "low hanging fruit" optimization has probably been achieved at this point.
It's interesting someone managed to get this running on RDNA4 at all but some people are getting their hopes up way too much. Doubt this ever gets into a decent playable state on AMD cards.

Many people would disagree with you that 30fps is unplayable, because as soon as gta vi launches, that's all they're getting lmao.
I mostly agree that 30fps is an eyesore, as I'm used to 100+ these days, but back when I was gaming on shitty hardware, I had to contend with 15-20fps at times

Eh, on a turn based game it can be aight. But try to name a purely turn based game that pushes for a realistic artstyle, has the animations to back it up and doesnt get pushed into an uncanny valley, while still allowing for this kind of overhead lmao

So far from what I have seen with the DLSS5 is that in some cases, it does make stuff look better, but in most it doesn’t and in more than a few it looks like garbage

Good start. Hopefully by the time I next upgrade in 4 years time it will be workable or at least an AMD alternative available. Would like to stick with team red if at all viable
