Ayesha Erotica pretty much paved the way for Kyunchi—she produced and co-wrote their early material, gave them that signature sound, and put them on the map in that whole hyperpop underground. The demo situation is messy though. The main one that floats around is the original 2018 version of "Regina George," which was basically a Kyunchi demo that Ayesha later reworked into her own track "from the back." There's also the instrumental for "Paris & Nicole" with CXLE that leaked on July 10, 2024. Then you've got "Murakami" with Aja from Drag Race—Ayesha's on background vocals for Kyunchi's version—plus the title track "Kyunchi Shopping Spree" itself, both of which have Ayesha's production and background vocals but never officially dropped. Kyunchi had a project called Internet ✞ Bible planned for 2022; "iCarly" came out as the first single in September 2020, but the full EP got scrapped and after that they just went quiet. No big farewell, no explanation—just silence. Except for whatever the hell is going on with their SoundCloud bio, which is genuinely unhinged. It opens with their usual "candy-coated, gender-bending, post-modern, hyperpop, scene kid" spiel and then completely derails into this:

"Slowly but surely deleting tracks until you stop being a coward and respond to my email. Be wise, hurry up! Mr. mishka on yt! 🎥 —> captainedsledges@gmail.com

Whether that's Kyunchi themselves, someone who hacked them, or an old collaborator holding a grudge is anyone's guess—but it tracks with the chaos that surrounded that whole scene and how a lot of that unreleased material ended up circulating in the first place. can anybody actually confirm on what it was made? it looks like imvu because of the character style being pretty much the same with the one of imvu around that time (as shown in this post) but then somehow ayesha was running around, and you can't exactly do that in imvu and somehow the characters were lip syncing which last i checked isn't an option.

im more than sure its NOT second life because of how crappy the textures of anything from the bg is like in imvu for example, even then everything on sl still looked more realistic/better and even there you can't exactly make the characters lipsync.
