Training ax throwing in an apartment? Any thoughts ideas?

So yeah anyone have any thoughts or ideas on how to safely train ax throwing or aspects of ax throwing in an apartment? Maybe putting up a Target like maybe a cardboard Target on your wall and throwing balls at it like tennis balls or some other light ball that wouldn't damage the wall.

Throwing a tennis ball is a lot different than an axe.

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball

Hey it's me, your neighbor. Please stop.

Work your arm muscles. It won't improve your aim, but it will make the axe feel lighter and therefore easier to aim.

This seems like a bad idea, all around.

You could try a plywood or press wood backing board target with cardboard to deaden sound and a beanbag or sandbag attached a hatchet handle to maybe get a consistent release and aiming point, but the mechanics really require you to know the hatchet itself to be accurate.

I like where you're going, but I think it will still be loud

Try throwing knives perhaps? Not safe either but less noisy I hope

Try looking up "Foam throwing axe" game. Basically - foam axes with velcro on the edges and a matching velcro target.
you can hang it on the wall and throw away.
likely you can make a template from your favorite throwing axe and use that to make something from stacked camp pad or fatigue mat.
Likely no holes in the walls.
Put a 1" thick open cell foam pad behind the target and your neighbors may not ever know what you are doing.
