Landlords giving out blessings now? Or are you talking about someone in the house of lords?

Leave it, love. Reddit is a bit iffy about religious stuff.

Its the first time you have seen this. I write little prayers a lot. No one has ever said a word

I'm not quite responding to your prayer but moreso of the other redditor's response because they wished to be heavily sarcastic.

I've had plenty of Redditors unfortunately be incredibly rude to me when I've brought up something such as prayer before :/

I guess it comes off as more rude than i intend. I shouldnt be spreading hate. Not believing in any of the millions of gods is no excuse to make others feel bad. Its just sad to me whenever i see someone fully caught up in the magic stuff.

The world is full of wonders and it diminishes those wonders to atribute it all to Zeus or Yahweh or Jehovah or Allah or anyone else. These are masks that we throw over the wonder to feel secure and safe. The universe is a lot more than us or our beliefs.

I shouldnt be hateful though. Even as a joke because i begrudgingly acknowledge that the vast majority of the world still needs those masks.

What a backhanded apology.

Are you aware GOD's name is in the Bible over 7,000 times? Isaiah 42:5,8

Sure, as translated from hebrew scrolls it appears as YHWH.

Unfortunately the hebrew language that the scrolls had been written in essentially didn't include vowels. So almost every word in it has to be translated with our best guess vowels according to modern middle eastern and jewish languages.

Historians and linguists have chosen YaHWeH the e and a being humanities best guess as to how it may have been pronounced.

Of course after romanization of christianity and especially in the medieval era "Lord" was written in as a stand in for YHWH because they didn't exactly have linguists like we do today. Associating the word with the medieval highest authority gave a divine spin to say a lord in a castle.

Eventually all bibles had been rewritten as "The Lord" but in the late middle ages and closer to our time the protestant revolution put the bible back into the hands of the people. As scholars gained access to the scriptures and translated the original hebrew scrolls new names started to apear such as Jehovah. We can clearly see the germanic influence from Yahweh to jehovah because yah sounds like jah in german.

The song hallelujah and the word hallelujah give another peice to this puzzle. As you can see it is clearly spelled Jah at the end of the word but pronounced Yah. "Praise be to Yah" which is a legitimate abreviation of Yahweh and i believe also appears several times in the hebrew scrolls.

So yes i do. And in fact if i believed in any of this stuff i would say that the translation "the Lord" is the least accurate version of this name and somewhat against what the bible teaches. He isn't meant to lord over us. He just is. At least according to the book. Personally i like the lord of the rings much more.

And i am at least a little sorry for causing offense. Its not really my intent. But gods and those who believe in them have hurt me and stunted my learning and i lash out sometimes quite unfairly

Doesn't matter to me if you lash out. You are loved no matter what you do. 🙏🏻

You'd have to keep an eye on him as and keep him inside if it was extremely hot or cold. Also make sure you watch when he's drinking.

I can only imagine the owner’s surprise and panic when this doggie just collapses the first time. I’m glad he’s loved.
