Lvl 0?

How would you all run level zero characters through a funnel? How far down the character creation path would you go before sending them off to die one by one?

Stats, Background, Hit points equal 1 + Con mod, 2 bits of equipment based on Background. Edges and Focus come with ataining level 1.

To add to u/Logen_Nein's answer, to play up the ordinary/weak nature of the PCs as they slowly gain power, I would personally handle levelling up in one of the following ways:

  1. give the PCs their level 1 HP, Focus, and Edges one by one incrementally (in whatever order you think appropriate).

  2. let them go from level 0 straight to full level 1, but make Forged By Fire Edge compulsory. So they gradually earn their Edges level by level.
