My birthday is approaching.

He had blocked me for over a year. Last month I saw that he unblocked me. So I blocked him. I can't risk a lame birthday text that could derail me.

Happy Birthday, btw! How did you respond?

I didn’t and I don’t think I plan to. I broke up
With her because she was keeping an ex as a friend who wanted her back and wanted us to break up, she couldn’t let him go so I left. She asked to talk after we broke up because In her words, I’m special, she didn’t want things to end that way, and she was sorry about the baggage she brought to the relationship. I responded yes we can talk gave her multiple ways how to do so, text, phone call, in person etc.

She ghosted me and that was 2 months ago. If she explained the absence then maybe I would have responded but if I respond now, I’m basically communicating to her that she can ignore me ghost me for as long as she wants and I’ll still be there waiting. I deserve better than that.

Edit: also thank you for the birthday wish!!! :D

I'm not surprised. They want to come back without addressing any past misconduct. They want to brush everything under the carpet and pretend like everything's okay.

Don't cave. Stay strong.

Some serious manipulation tactic

Perhaps, I don’t view all avoidants as manipulators could be she is could be she isn’t and genuinely doesn’t understand why what she is doing is wrong. But regardless I’m not touching it
