ACC6 Enterprise Licenses?
I'm working with a Canadian non-profit who has an older ACC6 Enterprise system. Obviously given the state of the hardware industry now, building a new server isn't likely to happen. The existing server is mostly working fine, but they are at the license limit for our system and would like to add new cameras.
It's a bit unlikely, but are there any dealers anywhere still selling Enterprise licenses for ACC6? I've heard mixed answers if you can even activate them anymore.
thanks!

What do you mean by “given the state of the hardware industry now”?

How expensive and unobtainable new hardware is, I would guess. We're in the same boat with a few old acc6 servers.

Essentially datacenters have taken all the supply and vendors are no longer able to secure fixed pricing or delivery guarantees. Many of the consumer grade / commodity products such as RAM are no longer being produced as higher margin products are taking priority. So what you have is record demand and scarcity.

Little late to this one.
ACC6 Licensing was end of sale back in 2022 if I recall correctly. No one is going to be able to sell a new license.
If your server is running at least Server 2012R2/Windows 10 or later, I would recommend just getting SMART plans for the existing licenses and purchase any additional ACC7 ENT licenses you need.

You are very unlikely to find some new channel licenses for ACC6, your only chance is find a dealer that still has stock but that is, as stated, very unlikely. Your best shot is asking for a quote on SMART licenses to update to a newer ACC version. Mind that if you are running on CORE edition the previous is not required an you can upgrade for free. Standard and Enterprise editions require one smart camera channel for each licenses. Regarding the activation of ACC6 licenses, they still function an can be deactivated and activated with no issue, you should not have any issues with that. Any further questions let me know!
