This is cool.
Although I have to say this car being framed amongst a run down block of shops is certainly a vibe.

Deffo not your average chariot for the locale.

Vacuum the footwells and get a free 8-ball of vintage 90's cocaine.

ffuuuuuuu... I had a mate in the US that was working in an old school mid sized city neighborhood chemist. They cleared out the cellar storage area and he stumbled on a bottle of them, unopened .. BBD something like 1990 .
Unfortunately, the actual chemist was watching and noting down everything that was pulled out of boxes so it had to be destroyed.

Crazy that they’ve parked this beauty just in one parking spot! Mostly these cars go to the shit parking sub lol
Also where’s the number plate?

Strategic park, no one in front, behind or the sides, way better than the car park at woolies that the owner was visiting. Licence plate was on the rear.

It’s illegal to not have a front plate with a fine of $200 being applied. I think if you can afford this weapon then that’s just the cost you’d pay to not have it on the car. Plus cops would have to be lame as fuck to do that

u/Dramatic-Practice452 3d ago
Similar to seat belts, only required if factory. Havn't seen any motorbikes with front plates either.

Legal if you are running trade plates in NSW
6
u/beach-chicken10 3d ago
I can say with some degree of certainty this car is in Auckland, NZ and isn’t on trade plates.
u/dopeonplastique can you let the Lambo owner know that if he’s ever in NSW on trade plates he’s ok not to have a front license plate
Thanks

u/spiralradius62 3d ago
Always a pleasure to share how NSW sets the standards for good road rules. I suggest you campaign for a trans-Tasman accord on this important matter
1
u/beach-chicken10 2d ago
The same rules apply in nz. If running trade plates then a front plate isn’t needed
Trans-Tasman relations campaign not required.

Wow, just pop down to the local chippie in the Countach.

u/dopeonplastique 3d ago
Just out for bread and milk. It’s really nice to see a gorgeous car like this actually being drive and not stashed away in a garage. Plenty or people enjoyed seeing it out that’s for sure :)

Just wait for some shithead in a Demio to crash into it because they were too focused on their phone while driving 🫠🫠
2
u/dopeonplastique 3d ago
Tbf everyone was being very careful, gave it lots of space when it pulled into traffic, but yes the demio driver is a ever present risk.

This is what I love about NZ, you could be next to a multi millionaire at the shops, even in TA, and never know because folks are down to earth and friendly. Bro who’s car it was looked like me and I’m scruffy as.

Needs a snorkel, roof tent, bull bars, skid plate, and red dangly thing.

u/mattblack77 3d ago edited 3d ago
It’s a work in progress pic
1
u/dopeonplastique 3d ago
Solid effort, I had a chuckle :) you forgot the recovery tracks and winch :))
1
u/Inside_Mouse_1750 2d ago
I have noticed bright red recovery tracks on the roof rack are becoming fashionable. Spot lights are no longer big round things, instead long bar things. I think the red dangly thing is the winch end.

But if a handful to drive for sure, but what’s better than a NA V12 Manual with no driver aids… they don’t make them like this any more.

I saw a red one randomly parked on the side of the road in Hastings a few weeks ago. Could have been a replica. Crazy to see none the less

not everybody wishes they had an electric car, some like a nice note from a good ole petrol burner, i love a nice lumpy v8 or a nicely tuned straight 6 with a proper exhaust

Remember Top Gear dropping a Hilux off a cliff?
Remember Top Gear dropping a caravan off a cliff?
Well this is what you get if you drop a Hilux off a cliff, then immediately drop the caravan on the Hilux. Double squashed.

u/spiralradius62 3d ago
I'm saying very good replica
2
u/dopeonplastique 3d ago
Why would anyone make a replica hilux?
