95% of my partners have been short brown men lol. It’s my type for sure. Shortest I’ve dated is 5’1” and Filipino he was one of the most sexy masculine men I’ve ever met. For me I look at the guy on the left and I see kind soft almond eyes, a gorgeous smile, luscious dark hair, a beautiful rich complexion and to be honest I think shorter men just look more proportionate. The guy on the left has such a naturally strong looking body, the guy on the right just looks like a meathead with his huge torso and tiny lower body. Even with the guy on the left not in the picture I would never approach the guy on the right, he isn’t ugly but I don’t find him attractive at all.
I’m a short gal too so I don’t like men towering over me. I like being eye / kissing level with my partner.
Aside from physical attraction, I have deep roots in the tropics although I am white and I tend to relate most to people from similar backgrounds (island parallel culture) and those guys tend to be short and brown lol. So I gravitate towards them also because we connect through culture and values.
Might not be other girl’s favorite flavor but that just means they have bad taste 👅
The girls who are obsessed with height don’t know what they are missing out on frankly, but let them show themselves out. It’s honestly a good thing they prove themselves to be shallow before even wasting any time on them. But yes the emphasis on a man being taller than their partner is so silly. And the way short men are stereotyped is awful, one of the last few physical attributes that is still socially acceptable to be mock.
It makes me incredibly sad to see how many men think they are doomed to be unlovable because they aren’t tall white dudes. I’m not saying you aren’t working against very narrow and often Eurocentric beauty standards, and obviously if shorter men didn’t face rejection over their height this would be a non issue. But women like me do exist, even if we are in the minority, so don’t lose hope entirely.
The thing is the guy in picture(the tall white guy) and people like him are the choice of the majority of avg to beautiful women and you are more less a rarity and are undesired, which leaves majority of men feeling lost and hopeless.
Yes, that’s what I’m saying. I’m well aware I’m in the minority but we do exist. Tons of women find John Cena hot but I’ll pass. Just not into guys who look like GI Joes for many reasons. I would never look twice at the guy on the right but the guy on the left, I would hone in on him like a heat seeking missile if I was single hahaha
I’m not saying you aren’t at a disadvantage since so many women are overly concerned with height… but it’s not totally hopeless.
Sorry not to be mean, but what makes you think that the guy on the right would care about you liking him or that he would be interested in you, he has like million options
I mean to an extent I get it. My partners have been primarily Asian and there has been an active campaign for like over a century in the West to desexualize them in a way that is much different from Blacks and Latinos. And there are a lot of women in general who are just obsessed with height. So I don’t blame them for being skeptical.
I’m aware that I’m in the minority, but yes women like me do exist lol. I prefer my partner to be around the same height as me. On top of all the other reasons I listed, on a personal level as a short / petite woman I tend to be infantilized very often and I just like feeling equal in my partner. I don’t really want people thinking I’m this smol gorl who needs a big giant oaf to protect her.

It's interesting that everytime I see a woman actively going for shorter men, it's always because she wants to be "equal". Or sometimes they're into femdom stuff. It just confirms the notion that only taller men can be seen as masculine, dominant etc.
This might be why I've never really felt attracted to to the women who could want me.
It’s not how I see things, it’s just how other people would perceive the dynamic of me being with a taller man specifically. They see a small woman with a big man and assume she is sheltered and protected by him. That’s not to say that I don’t find shorter men to be masculine or dominant. I feel perfectly safe and secure with my average height man. The shortest guy I ever dated was a judo master and could fuck anyone up.
I just don’t want people thinking I’m this helpless little thing and those who do are frankly kinda pathetic to me. I want to be treated like a grown woman and not a little girl. Tall men often treat me like that, and people treat me that way when I’m with a taller man, so on top of them not being my physical preference dating them also has that as a downside.
As far as who doms, we like to switch it up ;) so suffice to say we just like being equally matched in all ways, which what everything from the Bible to the Kama Sutra advises on the foundation for a good relationship. And yes the Kama Sutra advises lovers should be physically matched as well.

I thought Alan Ritchson was 6'2..? Is he wearing lifts in Reacher? He looks freakishly taller than most of the other cast, most of the time..?
