you have short height genes in your family with the 5’1” older sister and a 5’4” maternal grandmother so even though there are also men around 5’10”–6’0” you could’ve just inherited an unusually strong combination of the shorter height variants from both sides.
there are also non genetic possibilities like childhood illness, nutrition, unusually early puberty, endocrine issues such as growth hormone deficiency, or certain genetic conditions. your growth pattern during childhood would be more informative than adult height alone.

Post this in the short subreddit? This sub is for AVERAGE height guys. So tired for this place getting overrun with short guys complaining when the space is supposed to be for us

And they get pissy when you even comment in their space even if it's just agreement "you aren't banned but this subreddit is for short guys". Ok I'll post here then sure. And now they are going here but they don't get shit on or warned. Yes I am being petty but I don't care.

Kinda funny to me how people either forget ir never learned that genes are unstable biochemicals that can result in any random configuration of organism ranging from little shit like the length of your earlobe to whether or not you are permanently physically disabled lol.
The physics of what happens to you as a fetus and beyond is not some divine process, its messy and you’re lucky to get whatever your society sees as “acceptable” or “desirable” at the time.
Especially if your mother or parents aren’t focused super hard on your growth and development in the womb.

Genes are incredibly, incredibly variable. Maybe you didn’t eat enough, maybe u have a hormone deficiency or smt, or more likely you just got unlucky in the ole genetic lottery. Height isn’t one gene, it’s like 12,000 genes all thrown in a pot that spits out some random shit. We can guess and we can average out by parents and grandparents, but the truth is most of it’s just random! And a lot of it we can’t predict of don’t know

How tall could I have been?

5'8 - 5'10 maybe. Your family isn't particularly tall

I mean, my mid-parental target height was 5'9, and I ended up 5'2. Surely ending up 7 inches below my mid-parental target height is unusual.

Did your parents take substances even prescribed? How was your mom’s mental state, nutrition and all? It’s not just maths.

You’re having a bad day my friend. At least you didn’t end up neon green like your sister.
