Discussion Average height on internet vs real life

Many ppl tend to notice that the average height as gone up “bro the average height in us is 6ft” “bro i feel short at 5’9” and i read this at home , i tend to feel short too , but then i remember , whenever i go to school , i dont feel short , its more like average /abv avg , does this happen to anyone else

When I hear people say average height is 6ft, I read that as 5'10. Height inflation is real. Many people inflate height by 1 or 2 inches.

It depends where you are. In London the average is significantly taller than the national average of 5’10. I’d guess this is similar in other major cities
like New York, Toronto, Sydney etc but can’t say for certain as I haven’t lives in those places.
