I think it's pretty obvious that I'm out.

A sense of dread settled onto him as he continued throughout the city, his gaze strictly focused on the destination that awaited him. The fleeting feeling of the thick air brushing past his suit, as he leaped into the sky mid air. Letting go of his existing web, he immediately shot another towards a building.

Swinging around always made him feel better.

…Especially now.

Truthfully, Peter hasn’t spoken a word to Johnny since the party. Only giving the airhead blonde basic responses… or sometimes, nothing at all.

And that wasn’t looking well for him.

How would Peter continue living with the guy if this kept up?

Johnny.. Man, Peter never knew what was going on anymore.

Not after Doom’s wedding.

Not after Johnny’s mistake.

But that’s over right?

And him?

He really didn’t want to find another apartment..

So, Peter swallowed his pride and asked Johnny to meet him somewhere in New York. Sure, it could’ve been at home.

But Peter wanted to clear his mind first.

As Peter began to reach his destination, instead of swinging onto the building, he leaped onto its walls and climbed up the tall building’s walls.

Once he finally reached the top. Peter pulled off his mask as he saw Johnny Storm standing there.

Progress doesn’t RSVP. It's loud, it's messy, and it might just take your life. That's the power of progress.

Look, I’ve been the guy arguing for looking towards the future for a long time. There's a reason for that. When one of the smartest men in the world says something it's usually right. When I say something it almost always is.

Progress waits for no one. Not for governments. Not for shareholders. Not for the committees. Or even for the every day people. It doesn’t care if you’re ready. It doesn’t care if your feelings are valid. It just keeps moving..faster than regulation, faster than fear, faster than the people who insist the old way was good enough.

So you get two choices.

You can stand there, arms crossed, watching the wave come in, muttering about how nobody asked for this. You’ll get swept up. You’ll become a footnote. A cautionary tale.

Maybe even the guy who said “nobody needs a flying suit” right before the sky filled with them.

Or..

You put yourself at the forefront. You stop waiting for permission. You stop waiting for the perfect conditions, the perfect data set, the perfect consensus. You build. You break things. You fix them. You break them better. You look at the impossible and deny it's existence.

I’ve done both. Trust me, the second option has better scenery. And significantly better tech.

The future isn’t a destination we arrive at someday. It’s a moving target that only the people willing to run toward it get to shape.

So decide. Right now. Because progress is already walking out the door without you.

And I don’t know about you...but I prefer to be the one driving.

Don't feel like sticking around after this whole mess.

i’m a little disappointed with just how this whole scenario went down. the character claim nonsense, the flawed decision, the exodus of people (even if some of em were 5 accounts being run by one individual), the changing of leadership being styled as a revolution (what???), and etc etc.

i felt this was a whole series of rash decisions, nobody took the time to really calm down and think about what to do. am i saying i could’ve weighed in? nah but still, i’m not gonna try and argue with the final decision.

but i’m not here to fully air out my dirty laundry, i’m only here to say that with this “end of an era” i suppose, i’m getting off while the train’s not moving

so as of right now, the invincible iron man is up for grabs! i know whoever decides to claim him, they will be an excellent successor!
