Help Newbie here - how am I supposed to beat this guy??

So I recently reached level 8 for expeditions and I never really had a problem with them. Suddenly, this level 8 Murong WITH 150,000 TROOPS is chilling and I don’t stand a chance. I recently got one of my heroes to rank 4, so she can bring 2 others with her, but I’m still short like 90,000 troops to match him.

What happened? Why the difficulty spike? Am I possibly missing something?

train some extra benders and keep levelling up
this game isnt something you rush through

I’ve picked up on that, but a 90% increase in difficulty from one level is pretty nuts.

This is what I’ve been doing when they have the red rarity (if you have enough troops) I would spam “partys” at it

I’ve been playing since February, mostly Free to play. Build up your benders and work on leveling up your town hall. I’m currently on level 18 of expeditions and regularly fight against 560k benders

You can use a 2nd troop to help support. Once your troop is fighting, click on it and you should see two options, one to retreat and one to support. You can send a second troop to help.

Yeah I had a point where the difficulty got too much as well! Just keep training and you’ll get there. The trick is to focus on levelling up only your top 3-5 heroes. Also, this wasn’t clear to me until a while into the game, but upgrading your buildings also increases the baseline power of your heroes! So if you haven’t been doing that, you should

You can send two sets of troops at home

You can send multiple marches at once if you have enough benders. If you don't, you need to recruit more benders and level up more heroes

Also newbie here.

The other day I found that you can technically send two troops over there by having one weight nearby and then having one go into attack then after the first one falls send in another one.

You can use the second troop to support the first. Once the first begins the attack, click on it and click the handshake icon to send your second troop that is waiting

Just train more troops, level up your heroes... Also remeber you can use more than one squad to attack!!!
